I cheer for that every Steelers /Ravens game. Never happens. :( Hope you have better luck!

there are many variables that factor into TV ratings.
You're right, but I dont quite see how that matters?? Notre Dame is the biggest draw in sports, no matter how you slice it. It doesnt matter what variables there are, Notre Dame comes out as the #1 draw to ratings.

I thought it was somewhat relevant to the conversation considering people were claiming ND is by far the biggest draw in all of sports.

I'm not butthurt at all. You posted that in a Notre Dame game thread like its something they should be ashamed of or some great accomplishment for osu. I'll keep reminding you of it because it was a very weak attempt at chest pounding. Congrats on selling more tshirts.

Says a guy whose team has never been there...much less won one.

#1 in ratings. Dead last in BCS bowl wins.

    Agreed.

    But SEC fans don't?

I look at it as a win-win. If ND wins, the SEC just to a team that has never won a BCS bowl until them. If the SEC wins, ND still will have zero BCS bowl wins.

Do you have a source? Like I said, there are many variables...time, television, how good each team is, importance of game, etc.
I cant find much, but I did find this: Notre Dame games on NBC drew less than half the ratings that CBS and ABC averaged for their college football games in 2008

^^^I asked for a source too, but was unable to get one. I really would like to see this data.

Maybe, but isn't this an SEC/ND thread?

Well considering OSU is undefeated and has won more BCS bowls than anyone; I'd say they are on the right peg.

Every game Notre Dame plays is on national television. Half of their games this year were prime time games. ABC put a game against 2-7 Boston College in prime time. You shouldn't need a link. How stupid do you have to be to question how big of a draw Notre Dame is? You and vball are the only ones questioning it so that should give you an idea.

    ND fans.

More concerned with how many people watch them, then how many games they win. LOL

Reporter: Brian, you've just lost the BCS Championship game by 56 points, the most in history, how do you feel?

Brian: Well it was a tough game but hey I think we really pulled in some great ratings on TV so we're making some progress.

Because I actually call out OSU fans and other ND haters for the dumb things they say? Yes can't wait til I'm like you when I'm all grown up and will get all snarky when someone provides facts into an argument rather than just shooting off the usual mindless hate and baseless opinions that are swallowed and regurgitated over and over. THAT is what is truly enjoyable to read, that stuff.

    huh? Im not trolling anything.

Questioning the validity of an outrageous statement you made with no proof to back it up is all that I am doing. "By far the biggest draw in all of sports". I cant seem to find anything on the web that validates that claim. In fact, what what I can find, the claim isnt even the biggest draw in college football, let alone all of sports.
