Mods Penetrating ND...Again!

    Pretty much it, I'm sure there are occasional post reports by ND fans...just like there are occasional ones from Michigan, OSU, other teams' fans. But there definitely isn't a case of one school's fans being overly whiny and reporting everything. There are a couple ND fans who I think are over-defensive on the threads, but I could say that about certain fans of OSU, Michigan and TEAM SEC, too. Saying that ND fans are crying because Mean Ol' Tiernan made fun of them might be a nice way to give one's self a tiny scrap of self-esteem and/or faux importance, but it's in no way grounded in reality.

    That's how it works for me. I can't remember the last time I watched an ND game outside of the context of "game I'm watching went to commercial; this one seems close, so it's my #2 for the moment". I understand how a person could get annoyed that a team that hasn't been particularly good for some time has their own network, but there's a lot of games on at any given time. If that business model is working for NBC, more power to them; if it's turning out more like their relationship with Vince McMahon's XFL due to the team's struggles, lol on them.

    Tiernan, you ought to hang out with Speedofsand sometime. You both ought to have great stories to share over some tears about how eeeeevvvviiiiilllll mods stopped you from trolling other teams' fans at will with the thread-ban feature.

    I least Tiernan doesn't complain that everyone else on this forum is just trolling him.

    So, if this is true, then I hope zombaypirate/cats gone wild have been thread banned on all OSU threads. Also, lotz and said should be banned from all cleveland threads.

    Thanks, Heretic. I wasn't sure if what a few people on here were saying was true or just assumed/made up. As with most things....the truth lies somewhere in between....although it sounds like the truth is farther away from the claims being made by those few on here.

    Yes, I could complain about watching a Minnesota/Indiana football game on the BTN, or I could not watch it. It isn't really a difficult thing to do.

    Pretty big difference between NBC and BTN. But at least your comparison for the teams is pretty accurate. Notre Dame=Minnesota/indiana

    Same stuff or not, a troll post in a ND thread (or even an anti-ND, non-troll post), will get treated (or seems to) differently than a similar post in an OSU, UM, SEC thread. People are CONSTANTLY bashing the SEC. Hell, many people dislike SOS and CGW b/c they are SEC fans. If people talked to ND fans the way they talked to SOS and CGW... look out!

    Do they talk to CGW and SOS on SEC threads or OSU threads? I think a lot of the heat they take is when they troll on other threads. There a few posters who go looking for trouble on ND threads and I think that is why the mods are so quick to crack down on those threads. The trolls have made it impossible to talk about ND football.

    Doesn't matter if there is a difference or not. Don't watch Notre Dame and there is nothing to complain about. You seem like a pretty smart guy, you can't figure that out or you'd just rather whine on a message board?

    Oh I don't watch ND games. Why on earth would I put myself through that??

    I just do it because ND fans are so defensive, that you could literally call the school a butthole and 10 of them would come flocking to the thread to report the post and trash OSU.

    Do some on here dislike SOS and CGW just because they are SEC fans or is it (also) because they tend to troll OSU threads? Big difference there. Do many people dislike Azubuike24 and GOONx19? I mean, they're SEC fans too. Or do they get treated differently/better because they don't bust balls on B1G/OSU threads?

    I'm not even sure what you're trying to convey, but I'm not sure how not bitching about someone enforcing a rule I don't like makes me "holier than thou." I'm not holier than anyone. I just make an effort not to act like a whiny, little bitch. It doesn't take much, so it amazes me that others can't do the same.

    I don't see ND fans posting like cgw or sos. I haven't been on many osu threads lately but i doubt killer or cs constantly talk about how shitty the big ten and osu are.
