Azubuike24We have one opening in a 10-team PPR league, buy-in $100, draft on Saturday (offline) at 2 PM at BW3 on Bethel Rd. in Columbus. Possibility you could make picks online if you can connect with me. This is a league that has run for 9 years in a row and if you wanted in, you could stay in for the future as well. Someone had to drop out due to a wedding. PM me if interested, we'll make arrangements. Competition is decent, a few pretty solid players and a few others who just wing it.

Your IDPs are stacked. Banking on Hopkins and Allen to blossom in their 3rd years. I don't love your WRs but Rodgers and Hill are nice. If you don't take Hill in round 2 and go for a WR, your RBs would have been hurting. It's tough when you go QB 1st.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1748033 wrote:Had my big draft this past weekend. Standard 12-team league with IDP's (1 pt per solo/half pt per ast), 6 points for passing TD's. I will list the (before my pick/after my pick) players. We use the original draft style for NFL.com from back in the day, and here's how my draft went down:
Round 1 (7): A Rodgers (Lynch/Luck)... planned on RB. However, AP, Bell, Charles, Lacy, Murray, and Lynch went top 6, so I just took Rodgers.
Round 2 (2): J Hill (Gronk/CJ Anderson)
Round 3 (9): Hopkins (L Murray/Cooper)
Round 4 (4): Ingram (Brees/D Adams)
Round 5 (11): K Allen (Tate/Watkins)
Round 6 (6): L David (Edelman... he was who I wanted/Yeldon)
Round 7 (1): N Bowman (R White/Blount)
Round 8 (8): S Lee (J Brown/Funchess)
Round 9 (3): Ch. Johnson (J Jenkins/BUF D)
Round 10 (10): Spiller (Kendricks/T Coleman)... Thought this was the steal of the draft. Couldn't believe he fell to pick 118.
Round 11 (5): Garcon (Bridgewater/D Davis)
Round 12 (12): Ertz (Montgomery/Dansby)
Round 13 (7): Vereen (T Williams/B Marshall IDP)
Round 14 (2): C Matthews (New England... was my target/R Rodgers)
Round 15 (9): Miami D (Bush/L Green)
Round 16 (4): D Cobb (Woodhead/J Freeman)
Round 17 (11): J Tucker (Latimer/Bryant)
Round 18 (6): Perriman (Bowe/Houston) -
lhslep134I just don't like Rodgers going first but at least you got Jeremy Hill who is a much better option than Forsett. Hopkins and Allen are #2's but in an IDP standard scoring league I think you can get away with that because you have great IDPs.
If you can get rid of Ertz I would. Reports out of Philly indicate that he's going to be facing the same snap shortage as last year because he's really struggling with blocking, so it will be Celek in the red zone not Ertz. -
WooballIn 2 leagues, both play with similar rules. Basically salary cap keeper leagues. First draft was last night after rounds of free agency the last month leading up to the draft.
14-team PPR - start 1 QB, 1 RB, 3 WR's, 1 Flex.
QB's - Rivers, Carr
RB's - Ingram, Randle, Abdullah, Joique, Coleman
WR's - A Brown, Cooks, Charles Johnson, Kenny Stills, Torrey Smith, Kevin White
Think I have a solid mix of young potential but should still be competitive this year. A couple teams are STACKED and a couple really shitty squads also. -

Gonna be honest with you, I don't like your team at all. I can't imagine you winning many games unfortunately.Iliketurtles;1747954 wrote:gport... I don't think I've ever liked a team you've posted on here lol. Why Tannehill in the 2nd? I mean I don't even know if I'd take him in the 2nd in a 2QB 16 team league. I don't really like your trade but I'm sure you did when you saw Jackson was still there and got good value on him. I know you're a big skins fan too.lhslep134;1747955 wrote:Don't have anything to add to these except I like your Hyde and Palmer values and the Strong flier late
My draft would have been completely different from the start if I had realized this was a non PPR league haha. Also, I do zero prep before the drafts, just show up and hope what I have heard over the last few months on ESPN is good enough. Yahoo predicts I will finish 7th out of 14.TBone14;1747958 wrote:I've never played in a 14 team league so it's hard for me gauge. That doesn't look like the best team on paper. Tannehill in the 2nd seems early, I think I would have gone a 1st RB or WR there and taken my chances with a lower tier QB later. I like Palmer late. You might have been able to sneak Bridgewater later. Seems like QBs went early.
14 team draft was a lot different than past 10 and 12 teamers, felt like forever between picks and so many players were taken. 9 of the top 26 picks were QB's, felt like I needed to get a QB then, and I wasn't sure if Tannehill (who I think is gonna have a monster year) would be available then. For the rounds that I drafted RB's in, I am pretty pleased (esp for a non PPR league). Definitely some question marks on my team, but I think I should finish in the top 7.
I always draft the Redskins kicker and when I have two similar players I usually draft the redskins (homer alert). I do think I will have some good depth at the flex/wr position once Lafell comes back
I honestly don't even know who strong is, Just took him because the joke of the night revolved around Jameis Winston's illiterate "we strong" bcs speech. haha -
Raw Dawgin' itI have the 9th and 10th pick in my up coming drafts. Both PPR.
I'm curious what peoples strategies are when they're at the bottom of the draft. I was thinking of taking 2 stud WR then 2 best available RBs. Anyone think it's worth taking Gronk in the 2nd round? -

I took best two WRs available and then a QB and WR with my next picks. I don't value RB's enough to spend my fourth round pick on a RB that will maybe average 10 points a game, when I could pick up a WR who will average 14 a game and then pick a RB up off the waiver wire who will get me 10.Raw Dawgin' it;1748426 wrote:I have the 9th and 10th pick in my up coming drafts. I guess it depends who's there at QB - But I usually wait on a QB until the the middle rounds. So you'd go QB/WR over say Gore and Hyde with the 3rd and 4th? What QBs do you think are worth a 3rd or 4th pick?SportsAndLady;1748433 wrote:I took best two WRs available and then a QB and WR with my next picks. I wouldn't take Gronk but he is definitely in a class of his own for TE's. I'd just rather wait forever and get the Heath Miller/Delanie Walker/Tyler Eifert type guy and get 2 top 5 WR's. I'm probably going WR/WR 98% of the time picking in those spots PPR or not. And I'd probably follow it up with WR/RB in the 3rd/4th. I just feel like if you're going to start out with WR's then just take a 3rd as well for your flex early.Raw Dawgin' it;1748426 wrote:I have the 9th and 10th pick in my up coming drafts. Both PPR.

I'm leaning towards that.Iliketurtles;1748456 wrote:I wouldn't take Gronk but he is definitely in a class of his own for TE's. I took Matt Ryan with my 3rd/4th rounder which I was happy with. Mainly because I was high on him coming into the draft.Raw Dawgin' it;1748439 wrote:I guess it depends who's there at QB - But I usually wait on a QB until the the middle rounds. I just don't put much emphasis on the RB position. My teams have always been built around having strong WRs and QB and trying to find fillers at the RB positions to get 10 points a piece. -
TBone14
That's my strategy, too. In two of my drafts...I went Dez/Green/Sanders rounds 1/2/3 with a Mike Evans keeper (play all 4...two flex-12 teams) and in another draft I went Brown/D. Thomas to start (8 team work league...2 women). You can get a decent enough QB later and throw something together at RB. There is nothing worse than starting WRs who don't draw targets consistently.Iliketurtles;1748456 wrote:I wouldn't take Gronk but he is definitely in a class of his own for TE's. TBone14Is anybody else interested in the OC Draft Kings league? No commitment...week to week league.
We have a whopping 4 right now. -
Raw Dawgin' itA guy in my league drafted Luck and Wilson and is looking to trade Russel Wilson. Below is my roster - what are people's thoughts on good trade value? It's a 10 team PPR.
Sam Bradford QB (10th)
Lamar Miller RB (3rd)
Carlos Hyde RB (4th)
Demaryius Thomas WR (1st)
Julio Jones WR (2nd)
Delanie Walker TE (9th)
Caleb Sturgis K (15th)
Buffalo Bills D/ST (14th)
Benched
Arian Foster RB (8th)
LeGarrette Blount RB (12th)
Melvin Gordon RB (7th)
Ameer Abdullah RB (11th)
Stevie Johnson WR (13th)
Jeremy Maclin WR (6th)
Amari Cooper WR (5th) -
sportchamppsI wouldn't offer anything more then Cooper wait until he's more desperate to unload one

I don't think he's desperate - But I'm more concerned about Bradford not lasting.sportchampps;1749503 wrote:I wouldn't offer anything more then Cooper wait until he's more desperate to unload one -
Azubuike24Gordon or Abdullah. I wouldn't deal Cooper. Cooper could be a top 10 PPR WR. He's gonna be near the top of the NFL in targets for a team who will likely have to throw a lot.
