Laley23But, the match isn't a straight match. They will match what you deposit, but they do it as you play. So you deposit $100, you will get a few bucks here and there as you play. Not $100 at the time of signing up.
The free play into the $20 NFL game is legit. $20 games pay out pretty big if you finish in the green. But, it won't be direct admission to it. Basically, it will give you a $20 ticket and you could use that for whatever you wanted. Typically $20 entry's are for huge events. NFL opening week. The 4 golf majors. NBA opening night etc. Obviousky, you would want to go to the NFL one if you're asking lol. So you would just sign up, deposit and you're good to go. You would find the NFL millionaire game and the entry should say $20 with a line through it and indicator you can enter for free. -
Laley23But to answer the question, the matched money IS indeed real. They will give you money into your account. Withdrawals are also easy. I've done it once, and PayPal was very fast, then I just transferred that to my bank account. Much more legit than any betting website.
you should get the free ticket when you sign up via a referral I believe. -
IliketurtlesEverything Laley said is true. If you play a lot you'll get the bonus pretty quickly. You'll get $1 dollar back for ever 100 player points you accumulate. It does expire after like 3 months though. I got about $60 out of my $100 deposit match because I didn't know it expired so soon.
Also like Laley said the withrawal to paypal is very fast I think I got mine in like 3-4 days.
Draftkings is a ton of fun though. I love it. -

Download the extension Hola for your web browser. Probably can't use the app still, but could probably get around that restriction on the actual website.lhslep134;1746531 wrote:I can't use it, being an AZ resident. -
Dr. KnOiTaLLSo is someone making an OC league on DK?

You will get your money...but they release it dollar by dollar depending on how much you play. So you play in a couple of tournaments...they release a dollar of your bonus and so on. If you don't play, you won't get all of the bonus. It is misleading. You think you deposit $100 and you'll have 200 in your account but that isn't how it works. They got in trouble for it (I think Fanduel does it this way as well) but it was ruled that it was ok.Scarlet_Buckeye;1746526 wrote:I'm looking at getting into Draft Kings for the 1st time this season. I've heard some promos for it... something about signup and whatever you enter (say $100) Draft Kings will match that (so free $100?). Can anyone help me out here... Details? Promo code for this? etc.
Thanks. Sorry I'm a n00b when it comes to Draft Kings.
I'll flip you for it.Laley23;1746527 wrote:I call getting your referral!!!

I think we will have to create a contest week to week. I have no problem doing it. The issue is when you create contests you have to tell them how many are going to be in and if you don't fill it, they contest won't run and the money will be refunded.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1746547 wrote:So is someone making an OC league on DK?
So if we have 10 guys playing per week and just I open a contest on Tuesday for 10 and 1 guy never gets in, we won't play. So I guess we could do something where you have to commit for the week by Thursday, create it then for the Sunday/Monday games and go from there. -

If it isnt filled by Saturday afternoon, we can always just open it up to people we know...TBone14;1746590 wrote:I think we will have to create a contest week to week. I have no problem doing it. rydawg5I'd join a league. $50-$100 works for me. Leaguesafe does a good job of managing money accounts.

Annnnd this is why you don't do early drafts.Iliketurtles;1746450 wrote:Well I had the 4th pick in the 12 team league. Here is the team I came away with:

It is unavoidable. In my 2 leagues, we have a live draft and a live auction in the other. Getting 12 people in the same room at the same time this time of year is tough so you have to do what you have to do. If you are drafting online...I don't see why would you draft early.Raw Dawgin' it;1746849 wrote:Annnnd this is why you don't do early drafts.
The commish our league drafted Jordy about 10 minutes before the injury. That was some bad luck. Could have happened to anybody.
Here are my results.
League 1- 1 keeper option in the round you picked last year and free agents are round 11. PPR. Double flex and one of them we call the "super flex", which can be a QB/RB/WR/TE so you have the option to play 2 QBs. It is a wild and unpredictable draft. Big Ben went in the first round.
Keepers were Rodgers, Luck, OBJ, Hill, Hilton, D. Thomas, J. Matthews, Gronk, Russ Wilson, CJ Anderson, Tannehill, Mike Evans (me).
Drafted 9th.
Keeper: Mike Evans- 6th round
Round 1: Dez Bryant
Round 2: AJ Green
Round 3: Emmanuel Sanders
Round 4: Teddy Bridgewater
Round 5: Jon Stewart
Round 6: Mike Evans- Keeper
Round 7: Jordan Cameron
Round 8: Lagarrette Blount
Round 9: Dan Woodhead
Round 10: Vic Cruz
Round 11: Duke Johnson
Round 12: Reggie Bush
Round 13: Ryan Fitzpatrick
Round 14: Lavonte David- 1 IDP
Round 15: Hauschka
Round 16: D'Angelo Williams
I will need to drop somebody to pickup a defense prior to week 1. Overall, my QBs and RBs are not great, obviously but that collection of WRs....and I can play all 4 each week...is just stellar. Could have 4 top 10 WRs. I just couldn't pull the string on the QBs and WRs that were available when i was picking. The best available RBs when I took Green in the 2nd were McCoy, Miller and Alfred Morris. And when I picked Sanders, I was looking at Alfred Morris or Mark Ingram. I like Stewart and I can get enough out of Blount or Woodhead week to week to be ok. And I can always trade a WR later. -
TBone14Here were the results of the auction.
Format: Need to buy 10 players with 100. 2 keepers allowed at 10 (if bought for less that 10 or picked up) or what you paid last year. Then a 6 round snake draft to finish rosters. Set roster slots.+
QB: Big Ben-10 Keeper. Only keeper I used.
RB: Jeremy Hill- 23
RB: Lamar Miller-20
WR: Brandon Marshall-9
WR- Victor Cruz-6
TE: Gronk- 21
K- Who cares
Def: Who cares
Bench QB- Rivers 1
Bench RB: Jonathan Stewart-6
Bench RB- Tevin Coleman- 1
Bench WR- Steve Smith-Drafted in snake
Bench WR- Allen Robinson- Drafted in snake
Bench TE- Owen Daniels-9 Last pick...had 9 bucks left.
Bench K- Who cares
Bench D- Who cares
Numbers might not add up...I could be a buck or two off on a couple of the lesser guys.
So the exact opposite here. Bad WRs but good RBs. There were a lot of WR keepers (Brown, Dez, Thomas, OBJ, Julio, Evans, Hilton, Sanders, Evans, Watkins, Matthews) so the few stud WRs left- AJ Green/Calvin Johnson both went for 30ish. Alshon Jeffery was in the 20's. Cobb went for mid 20's. So after I got Gronk...I was out of the game on the big WRs. -
IliketurtlesTBone In the 3 round I think I would have gone with Ingram but can't fault you for taking Sanders. I've been on the "Zero RB" strategy for PPR the last 2 years and I'm planning on doing it for a 3rd. As for Big Ben going in the first that doesn't surprise me. With 4 QBs kept and 12 guys in what is a essentially a 2 QB league I'd probably think about taking him too especially if it was toward the end of the 1st. I really think QB is going to hurt you a lot more than your RBs will.
As for Jordy it is what it is. That league isn't for money so it's not a big deal. Just thankful I got the WR handcuff in Adams. -
Azubuike24It's hard for me to avoid doing free drafts early. I get the itch a month before the season. However, I'm in 3 leagues we've had for 7, 6 and 9 years respectively, all for decent cash. It's almost mandatory that those drafts happen after 3 preseason games, minimum, ideally Labor Day weekend.
I've done quite a few free Yahoo and ESPN leagues and have Jordy and Benjamin in 1 each. It happens. You make a move and push forward. I see it as a challenge to try to work the waiver wire and compete in those leagues, but in the end, it doesn't matter.
Now I'd be pissed if I had a league that truly mattered and I had Jordy/Kelvin combo or worst case scenario, both. -
IliketurtlesYeah I'm with Azu the earliest I'd do a draft that I had money involved in it is after the 3rd preseason games.
But I love to do actual drafts throughout the summer on ESPN/Yahoo/NFL.com and not mocks because I feel like people will take them more serious and it helps me get ready for my money leagues. -
Sonofanump12 team league. Start 2QB, 3WR. Rankings shown.
I can choose between Brees (5) or Romo (11) & DeShaun Jackson (17). -
Azubuike24I'm avoiding Jackson big time. All Redskins. I think there are plenty of WR talent in the double digit rounds with much more potential. I'm not sure Brees is worth 6 rounds higher than Romo though...in fact, I don't think he is unless you're getting the pre-2013 Brees.
-
lhslep134In a 2 QB league I'm definitely keeping Romo in the 11th.
-
Azubuike24I'm starting a 12-team (Yahoo), auction draft with some interesting scoring settings (6 pt. pass TD, 3 IDP + DEF with more premium on defensive points). Figured I'd do it for fun for $10. Anyone interested? Draft next Friday at 8 PM EST.
Payment through League Safe, which will take care of paying everyone at the end automatically.
Post email or PM me w/email and I'll invite. -
IliketurtlesYeah I'd keep Romo/Jackson as well.
Azu I would join but I'll be traveling on Friday next week. Sounds like a fun scoring system though and I love auctions. -
Azubuike24FYI, I'm going to run another MFL10 league on Yahoo. Draft is Thursday September 3rd, 7:30 PM (could change depending on interest).
12 teams, standard scoring + PPR, QB, 3WR, 2RB, TE, FLEX, K, D and 12 bench spots (1 IR). No moves or trades allowed. Winner gets $100, second gets $20 (4 teams make playoffs).
If you want in, let me know. I was thinking we could get many of the same guys from the basketball league in. -
rydawg5I managed to draft 8 rookies at my draft. Not sure how that happened other than I was drinking.
-
Azubuike24Decent strategy for a dynasty league or the league I posted above. You gotta figure 1 or 2 of them will be good value.
I'm just not too keen on people relying on them in a starting spot. For instance, I'm no at all wanting to get stuck with Gordon, Gurley, Abdullah or Cooper unless I'm in an expanded league or plan to flex them. -

Makes sense. I had a hard time choosing someone like Anquan Boldin with limited upside versus Devin Funchess who COULD be a solid #1. That was my problem when I was faced with that decision the 8 different times I faced it ha. Granted, some of these happened in the back half of the draft so these aren't all starters. My last two picks were Cobb and Payne
