iclfan2Hilarious after all of the Ossof money that came in from California and elsewhere. The Dems are trying SO hard for there to be a "referendum" on Trump.

SpockDems spent $35 MILLION on that seat in Georgia and lost. 2018 cant get here fast enough. Its gonna be a blood bath.

gutDems really need a new strategy instead of saying every idea they disagree with is either racist or kills babies. It's ridiculous, and pandering to the craziest of your libtard base does the party no favors.
Seriously, the rhetoric is just so vile, hateful and intellectually bankrupt - and this is coming from the likes of Feinstein, Pelosi, Warren, Schumer....always the leaders of the Dems (best and fairest comparison on the right is probably Rush Limbaugh)....and they wonder why they have been losing almost every election the past 6 years. -

Illinois state rep. Perhaps this type of math is why Illinois is going bankrupt?
Looks like the Illinois state senate and house are going to override the governor's veto and will end up raising taxes. Just kicking the can down the road to avoid the inevitable. -

LOL, seriously. The correct math is they increased rates 120 bps, or 32%.like_that;1861622 wrote: Illinois state rep. Perhaps this type of math is why Illinois is going bankrupt?
Still, that's still a relatively low income tax rate. But they have high sales tax, and high property tax. I've also read they want to slap a "luxury" tax on carried interest if the Fed's don't close that "loophole" (which would be historically stupid).
Smartest thing they could do is pull their heads out of their ass on a casino in downtown Chicago. That would probably bring in $1B a year, maybe more if you include increase tourism and convention business. -

Hilarious. And I believe they also raised corporate taxes, by 35%, from 5.2% to 7%. They are completely doomed. With math experts like that rep, it is no wonder they have $14 billion in unpaid bills. Staggering stupidity; seems like it afflicts democrats and liberals 'majorly'. -
Con_Alma"Before the Obama administration approved a controversial deal in 2010 giving Moscow control of a large swath of American uranium, the FBI had gathered substantial evidence that Russian nuclear industry officials were engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering designed to grow Vladimir Putin’s atomic energy business inside the United States, according to government documents and interviews.
Federal agents used a confidential U.S. witness working inside the Russian nuclear industry to gather extensive financial records, make secret recordings and intercept emails as early as 2009 that showed Moscow had compromised an American uranium trucking firm with bribes and kickbacks in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, FBI and court documents show.
They also obtained an eyewitness account — backed by documents — indicating Russian nuclear officials had routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow, sources told The Hill.
The racketeering scheme was conducted “with the consent of higher level officials” in Russia who “shared the proceeds” from the kickbacks, one agent declared in an affidavit years later.
Rather than bring immediate charges in 2010, however, the Department of Justice (DOJ) continued investigating the matter for nearly four more years, essentially leaving the American public and Congress in the dark about Russian nuclear corruption on U.S. soil during a period when the Obama administration made two major decisions benefitting Putin’s commercial nuclear ambitions. The first decision occurred in October 2010, when the State Department and government agencies on the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States unanimously approved the partial sale of Canadian mining company Uranium One to the Russian nuclear giant Rosatom, giving Moscow control of more than 20 percent of America’s uranium supply. ..."
