I don't understand the Carson thing either. He barely made the cut to that main debate, didn't get to speak for nearly an hour, and now he's almost near the top of the GOP candidates?gut;1745138 wrote:I'm surprised Fiorina has made that big a move, since I'd assume not many people watched the debates (much less the first one).
I also didn't see anything in Ben Carson's performance to justify that kind of bump....but LOL maybe his tithe "tax rate" struck a chord with the right-wing religious nuts.
I still think Trump's numbers are a good chunk of people trying to send a message to the other candidates and eventual nominee. The thought of that asshole anywhere near the Presidency should scare the hell out of any non-moron.
Why?
Edit: on the bright side, at least America is starting to see through these "typical" politicians. Two of the top three in that poll aren't career politicians. Even Fiorina was a former business CEO. If Obama's 8 years did any good, it's that hopefully people see why voting in the best public speaker and career politician usually turns out bad. -

And yet Trump is in the lead not because of his business skill but because he talks tough. Fiorina rose because she had a viral interview where she went at Chris Matthews and Carson had a great one-liner.SportsAndLady;1745141 wrote:I don't understand the Carson thing either. Not surprised to see you get that in after I took a shot at your boytoy Obama. If only those damn religious nutbags would just go away LOL. Looks like gut may have fallen prey to the mantra as well. Trump told a gathering of social conservatives that he would not even humble himself before God and ask forgiveness for his sins. The dude is an arrogant pompous ass. Trump is leading in the polls because he is the middle finger of the base to the Republican political class. Like you I saw nothing exciting about Ben Carson during the debate. He is a humble honest man who is not politically savvy. Someone who turns up the noses of the Republican political class. The eventual nominee is more than likely not going to be Trump or Carson. Another milk toast establishment candidate is unacceptable.gut;1745138 wrote:I also didn't see anything in Ben Carson's performance to justify that kind of bump....but LOL maybe his tithe "tax rate" struck a chord with the right-wing religious nuts. -

NBC is running fake results. This poll would give the left a huge tingly feeling down their Chris Wallace leg.Glory Days;1745137 wrote:Still looking like Trump is on top as of Fri-Sat.

Lol right Obama is my boytoy because he has my support. Is Kasich your boytoy? Rubio?SportsAndLady;1745150 wrote:Not surprised to see you get that in after I took a shot at your boytoy Obama. Didn't take long.
But yes if they couldn't handle Donald Trump in the year when the GOP was supposed to have the best crop of rising stars ever I guess I would probably feel the same way you do sport. -
BoatShoesBut lets be honest here...how bad is the democratic national committee when democrats get whooped all over the country.
Nobody is going to be excited to vote for Hillary. They really have lost the message of inspiration after the Obama Hope for Audacity turned out to not be so much. -
rydawg5
You say that, but the Dems literally stepped in 2008 and made sure Obama won with the Dems's super delegate votes. If you remember, Obama had an early lead but Hilary was never mathematically out of the race until the super people stepped in.BoatShoes;1745162 wrote:But lets be honest here...how bad is the democratic national committee when democrats get whooped all over the country.

Republicans don't have these super people whose votes are worth more than normal peasant votes to my knowledge. -

Thats because Republicans at the state and local level never talk about God, gay marriage, abortion, or any of those divisive social issues.BoatShoes;1745162 wrote:But lets be honest here...how bad is the democratic national committee when democrats get whooped all over the country. -

Gosh a ruddies, what planet do you live on. Republican legislature have pushed through all kinds of laws to restrict abortion. Before the Supreme Court decision Gay rights and Gay marriage issue was definitely centered on the state level, where individual state laws and state constitution admendments had been pushed through. And since the Supreme Court decision, all these "religious freedom" laws. You do remember Mike Pence, don't you.majorspark;1745172 wrote:Thats because Republicans at the state and local level never talk about God, gay marriage, abortion, or any of those divisive social issues. -

Belly35Trump, Carson, Carly ... Three non- career politician in the top 6 spot after the Cleveland debate...
Why..?
American people, Republican and Democrats, all ethic and gender are welcoming the new breed of politicans .. Non-career, self made, business driven and independent rational thinking candidates. The next issue that will drive a line in the sand for both parties..... Will be TERM LIMITS. The first non-political candidate that voice the idea of term limits will take the lead and support of the American public... -

Dr Winston O'BoogieCarly was a totally failed CEO at HP. Her tenure there saw a 50% decline in the market cap of HP, 30,000 jobs eliminated and the HP Way completely decimated. She was forced out by the board with a huge golden parachute. I'm not sure how that qualifies her whatsoever.

The years between 2000 and 2006 was not the best years for any computer industries. She walked into a undeclared market but took HP from a #5 spot to the top number #1 for 3 of those six years and #2 for the other 3 years...Dr Winston O'Boogie;1745244 wrote:Carly was a totally failed CEO at HP. 30,000 jobs sometime a good house cleaning is required... it should happen to government every 4 years.
Everyone throws rocks at the top .... -

I will have to check to see if he did voice term limits.. If so he and the other non-career politians should push this point to the max....HitsRus;1745386 wrote:I believe Ben carson has already been out front with that. -
sportchamppsGoing back to your question Gut. I only care that whoever wins the nomination answers these questions in a way that will swing undecided and middle of the road voters to the republicans side. I don't want someone who will give the Democratic candidate constant sound bites to use in commercials. You can bet that the democrats already have a commercial ready about women not being able to get abortions if they were raped or victims of insect ready to go.

Dr. Ben Carson speaks of the use of wisdom and quotes the book of Proverbs frequently. From what I can tell, the use of the given wisdom contained in that particular book seems to have done him well.like_that;1745752 wrote:Exactly why the bible thumping shit is annoying, but might as well keep people likes majorspark happy though!
I can't say that what you find in Proverbs is overly objectionable. Be kind, don't lie, avoid murders and adulterous affairs - seems like a good way to keep a good name.
