and fights for the American dream that is:

    No Government intervention

    Zero taxes

And 2 black men in every garage.

    It's conservative!

    It's insane!

    No, it's:

Kind of looks like a swastika don't it?
Kind of gets off the subject of the OP... as did my comment(s) to Heretic. To get back to the subject...

Dave Brat ran on 6 principles... and beat the Leader of the House in the primary because it resonated with the people of his district. The things he ran on don't look all that radical, or "Super Conservative", or even racist (2 black men in every garage? What's up with THAT?!?!?):

    Brat's 6 principles:
    • That the free enterprise system is the most productive supplier of human needs and economic justice,
    • That all individuals are entitled to equal rights, justice, and opportunities and should assume their responsibilities as citizens in a free society,
    • That fiscal responsibility and budgetary restraints must be exercised at all levels of government,
    • That the Federal Government must preserve individual liberty by observing Constitutional limitations,
    • That peace is best preserved through a strong national defense,
    • That faith in God, as recognized by our Founding Fathers is essential to the moral fiber of the Nation.

The last one conflicts with #2 almost by definition.

You weren't either. You are a registurd dem.

I don't know what this means.

lol DA! I definitely didn't vote in that race but I'm not a registurd dem anymore!

QCB... those who voted for Brat supported him, which basically includes supporting his platform... the 6 principles he ran on. Those 6 principles must not have exhibited a big enough conflict (as you pointed out) to make them want to vote in a different way.

Exit polls are showing that those claiming to be wealthy Liberals had a significant impact on the results voting against Cantor.

Not discounting liberal shenanigans, but all D's don't necessarily drink all of the koolaid. Back during the awesome Carter years c. 1980 they were labeled Reagan Democrats.... not that Carter compares to Dear Leader now! :)

Barry's nut huggers are soooo above the fray:laugh:.

no where even close, but my Golden Retriever would have been better than them both...he's likable and harmless and the shit comes out of the correct end.

I can't remember where I read it but it didn't say anything about Ds. It was strictly voters stating they were liberal in ideology and wanted Cantor out. Combine that with his position on immigration, the TEA Party's disdain for him and low turn out and you have the results we see.
  • isadore
gosh a ruddies the Tea Party types voted the only Jewish Republican member out of Congress.
  • Apple
You are correct, Con_Alma... you did say "Liberal"! I guess I naturally think D when I see that term, but there are definitely a fair share of them (RINOs) in the R bracket!

I'm with ya'. I think I understood what you were getting at. I don't doubt there were some Democrats voting against him. I can't find that dang article now and I just didn't want to misrepresent it.

Shocking. More labels from the left. We're never just United States citizens with the left. Also white, black, Jew, never just American.

Continue to propagate racism by always using a label.
