What would you do?

If elected president, what would be your first order of business?

Mine would be a flat tax. 10% across the board, no exceptions.

    Religious institutions included.

Non-profit organizations that give up to 75% back to the community (Red Cross) will receive a 5% tax rate, and that money will be rolled back into grants that fund smaller non-profits.

You plan on legislating from the Executive Branch?

If I could do whatever I want, I'd

    - Institute term limits across the board.
    - Eliminate lobbying, and make it illegal. Kind of along the same lines as insider trading.
    - Create tax benefits for companies who choose to not outsource to other countries, hoping to bridge the financial gap.
    - Eliminate the minimum wage, and let the free market determine wages.

This would cause a huge spike in unemployment.

I 1000% agree with your first statement.

I'd also get rid of unions.

Present a budget to Congress, over and over until one is finally agreed to.

Begin what prior Presidents have recently failed to do, uphold the Constitution.

    There's certainly precedent for this.

    Unfortunately that's so very true.

I'd make it so you have to pass a test in order to vote. I'd also put financial incentives for desirable people(read: people with good jobs, well educated, not a Democrat) to have children so we can pay for all these worthless boomers and provide a retirement for myself. I'd get rid of EOE and remove the income tax entirely. I'd slash defense spending by 20% overnight and allow educated immigrants an easier pathway to citizenship. I'd eliminate all federal student loan programs and allow only federal grants for low income students regardless of race. I'd also give black people $10,000 each so they can stop crying about how life is unfair.

THIS. Most, if not all problems are solved by doing this and this alone.

And removing the minimum wage would absolutely NOT lead to a major bump in unemployment--that isn't even logical, much less found in any economic theory or practice. MANY more jobs would become available, especially for those who can't integrate into existing jobs for whatever reason. The minimum wage is one of the worst economic policies that a government can institute.

I would accept bribes from everyone.

Better solution to eliminating it is to get the economy to a level where it becomes moot.

I think that's putting the cart before the horse personally.

Yes, but you don't know the simplest economic principles, as proven in other threads, so we'll take that for what it's worth.

    LOL...

And your basis in economics is essentially what has been applied and tested, and look how well it works.

I'd get rid of the Fed. DOE. Leave it to the states, and make states compete with one another (if they wish). Who gives a flying fuck about world-wide educational rankings, when not everyone is educated in the same manner?

I'd be the Roose Bolton of presidents. A peaceful land; a quiet people...due to my particular blend of brutally enforced martial law.
