  • Belly35
I'm a self taught business guy, I'm out there every day talking to customers from red neck truckers, construction companies, to president of manufacturing and engineering/ architectural firms nobody is comfortable and some expect another recession. Obama and Washington politics needs to get in line with the heart beat of America .... The working people... IRS, EPA, DOJ needs to be down sized and new administration of those operation elected by the people in a federal election year. Stop federal corruption and put the power of the people back in control

In good news Justice Sotomayor made a complete ass of herself in trying to defend a position that directly counters the Constitution.
  • QuakerOats
^^ rather sad that politics carries the day for the liberals on the high court; the constitution be damned.

I bet you are OK with the feds taking land for the Keystone pipeline though.... Right?

    I thought so.

At the risk of not knowing more about the OK/TX deal, I'd say you're comparing apples-to-oranges. Eminent domain has been practiced by cities and states for some time, and for projects that create real economic value it makes sense (and people generally receive FMV or better for their seized property).

Keystone pipeline should be a slam dunk. TX/OK, however, I fail to see the justification for the feds to be involved, much less seize the land.

"I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro"
That should be the end of Bundy's 15 minutes of fame. Conservatives are leaving him in droves after that gem he laid out yesterday.
  • QuakerOats
Yeah, too bad he fell for the bait. Yet, in the big picture, being a slave to BIG government is ok, in fact, it is apparently noble for both parties.
  • majorspark
Was this Bundy guy talking about the light skinned kind that speaks with no Negro dialect?
  • IggyPride00
"That’s exactly what I said. I said I’m wondering if they’re better off under government subsidy, and their young women are having the abortions and their young men are in jail, and their older women and their children are standing, sitting out on the cement porch without nothing to do, you know, I’m wondering: Are they happier now under this government subsidy system than they were when they were slaves, and they was able to have their family structure together, and the chickens and garden, and the people had something to do? And so, in my mind I’m wondering, are they better off being slaves, in that sense, or better off being slaves to the United States government, in the sense of the subsidies. I’m wondering. That’s what. And the statement was right. I am wondering.”
    Bundy is on fire today.

Hannity is likely breaking out in a cold sweat right now for being such a huge supporter of this guy.

They certainly are better off than if they remained in Africa. Not a popular opinion I know, but while slavery wasn't a good thing the effects of slavery are certainly benefiting the Africans who were once slaves.

Unfortunately, Bundy will continue to have a band of supporters and continue to get press. The Media will continue to cover him and will attach a "people" to the tea party.

    Everybody remembers the crazy guy.

I might watch to nite just to see how he is going to try and spin it.

Edit: After thinking about it., I think Sean needs to double down on this. It is all about constitutional rights and Bundy has every right to say what he did.

Cooler heads actually prevailed for once:

This was a such a crazy idea to have actual graduations and students being put on the back burner for a speech.

I think that's being a bit dramatic. The coverage I've seen of Bundy on Fox has mostly struck me as the type where "if this turns into Waco, we want to be there". They're exploiting him, not supporting him.

Fox is trying to turn it into a big goverment thing, but they haven't (and really can't) make Bundy look good or anything more than a deadbeat.

"Rhodes’ email was sent to Obama administration officials, including White House press secretary Jay Carney, with the subject line, “RE: PREP Call with Susan: Saturday at 4:00 pm ET.” Rhodes in the email said two of Rice’s objectives would be, “To underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure of policy” and “To reinforce the President and Administration’s strength and steadiness in dealing with difficult challenges.”"

Someone screwed up badly on this as these emails WERE NOT submitted [read: intentionally withheld] to House investigative committees.

Time for the lying POS to fall on the sword...Carney's been on his way out, any way.

    Not going to happen.

By comparison, for example, Watergate was a petty crime compared to the on-going wrong doings perpetrated by the self-proclaimed most transparent Administration in American history.

But the Barry Bunch continues to receive a perpetual free pass by the same leftist press corps that forced Nixon to resign.

It's irresponsible and a massive disservice to the Mericun sheeple.

Yes, lets keep Snowden from giving the evidence. Wouldn't want to ruin that Germany/USA partnership.
