Disgusted with obama administration - Part II

It would appear between 60-80% of the country are partisan idiots.

Funny watching liberals rant about the Tea Party while ignoring that two of the most extreme politicos - Reid and Pelosi - LEAD the Democratic party. But when you're a cookies & cream liberal you don't see the extreme stupidity and partisanship of those two.

    That's probably accurate.

How about the Ds listen to their constituents and work to get rid of it as well?

I think it's funny that you say "stop with the blame game"...have you actually WATCHED/HEARD what the Ds (Carney, Pelosi, Reed, and many others) have said over the last 2 weeks?

Come on, they are playing Chicago style politics and calling the Rs terrorists for crying out loud.
Poll after poll shows more convincingly that Americans don't want the government shut down to try to defund or delay ACA.

This is in no way unreasonable, but the Democrats are determined to take away the "Party of No" designation.

Anyone who believes this shutdown isn't bipartisan is himself a partisan hack.
I think that is reasonable policy wise, given the mess with the website and all the bugs.
The problem is the President, politically, cannot be seen as caving on the issue.

I agree it is a bipartisan shutdown. I called it an institutional failure at the start.
The climate is just so toxic that any reason is pretty much gone. Only politics and emotion.

Precisely. I'm up to my eyeballs effin tired of the liberal media portraying this as a one-sided Tea Party-only issue.

I've never in my 35 years of following politics seen such a pathetic and wanton display of partisan hackery.

I'm embarrassed and ashamed of the American sheeple for electing the ENTIRE bunch of idiots currently running this once great country.

We only have ourselves to blame.

Suffice it to say the sheeple don't want Obamacare OR a shutdown.

I'm never a fan of extremists, but that's what it takes to get noticed and affect change in American politics today.

I find the attack on the TEA Party (at least before being somewhat hijacked by the religious right) to be a little offensive - they are the 1 group doing what they were elected to do and take on the tough issues.

I remember back in 2004 arguing with people about Bush's deficits and the national debt. I thought it was fixable, and perhaps even below the optimal debt ratio. But the debt has tripled since then with absolutely no signs of slowing, And for the most part, THAT is what got the TEA Party elected in 2010 - keeping in mind a lot of that is what started giving the Dems big wins in 2006 and 2008, such that Obama and others campaigned on. Fool me once....fool me like five times and I elect TEA Party absolutionists (well, not me personally) to fix the problem.

Apparently, 60% of Americans want to throw them all out....include me in that number.

Fire 'em all...each and every one of them!!!

You mean the 17% "shutdown"? I don't think most American's even know how little of the Government is actually shut down. They believe the media and think this is Armaggedon. This "shutdown" isn't even enough to run the government at no deficit, even with 17% shutdown we are still running a deficit.

The progressives have a vested interest in keeping people stupid; be it through media manipulation or their union-controlled public 'education' monopoly.

What at a nice political stunt.
They should be in meetings trying to figure out a solution instead.
How does this solve the problem?

True. But the greater political stunt of barricading memorials and forcing people off federal property seems to evade you. It does not solve any problems either. Seems to be more of a punitive act to me.

If they had a budget, they would stay open.
Actually, the workers there are more volunteers than anything else.
And really, they are turning a blind eye to most people. They just can't to any maintenance or safety work.

Volunteers work without any expectation of pay. Not the case here.

Like any human being they despise being a jerk for political purposes. I'd turn a blind eye as well. If they are banned from doing maintenance or safety work what purpose at all are they serving?

You have finally gone full Teatard.

The quota is for clerks to process 150 applications a month. They are clerks you Idiot. They are not out on the street, pulling people aside and asking "hey man, you want some food stamps"
  • QuakerOats
Why should there be a quota; what is the message?

You cannot even see the how utterly ridiculous this entire entitlement society has become.

Shouldn't the quota be 150 LESS applications per month? You know...that whole idea of getting off the gubmint dole and living via your own means? Nah....that's fucking old thinking.

The message is process 150 applications. It has nothing to do with approvinf the apllications ao getting people to apply fo stamps. It ha to do with the quantity of work tht they do in a month.

The whole articke is misleading, but you did not get it due to your teatarded state of mind.

And gut, i agree that there should be fewer apps, but that has nothing to do with food stamp recruiters.

    LOL, didn't think I commented.

But I suppose my question would be if these efficient and diligent govt workers shouldn't be expected to process more than 7 applications a day. Given the suspected level of fraud and unqualified receiving SNAP, it would appear these people do little more than push a few buttons.
