IggyPride00Wallstreet is in the early stages of a wet dream right now with the oil market about to explode because of unrest in the Middle east.
Crude is over $110 right now, and set to surge the second the bombs actually start flying. They have run the market up on far less in the past, and now that they have a legit excuse to do so look for them to take full advantage and not look back. Wholesale gas is over $3.05, which should mean $4 at the pump in the not too distant future.
Throw in the billions of dollars military contractors will reap for another Middle Eastern adventure and it will be like old times again.
The big loser in all this will be the American people as always. -
QuakerOats"US officials reportedly confirmed chemical weapons were used in Syria after intercepting calls from a Syrian defense official who was demanding an explanation from a chemical weapons unit official about last week's strike."
Are they saying it was not a youtube video this time? -

Bibi has been wanting to bomb Iran for years now to take out their nuke facilities, and this would be the perfect pretext for his to do so if they attack Israel as retaliation for Syria.
Rather than acting as a deterrent that is seen as an incentive for us attacking Syria. -
majorsparkI wonder if Biden is going to lead the effort to impeach Obama?

Is this comparing statements Susan Rice made on a TV show to Bush invading a country?majorspark;1492634 wrote:I wonder if Biden is going to lead the effort to impeach Obama?

If it is, then that person should probably stop talking.
Biden is saying that Bush should for taking us into Iraq, they're trying to compare that to what Susan Rice said about Benghazi on Meet the Press, and no, it doesn't even come close to working. -

No. Did you watch the video? You have to make it to the 50s mark.Commander of Awesome;1492669 wrote:Is this comparing statements Susan Rice made on a TV show to Bush invading a country?

Biden is talking about Iran. And is saying Bush should be impeached if he attacks Iran without the approval of congress. Something I do agree with Biden in the situation that he referred to at that time would have been unconstitutional. Here is another video.Commander of Awesome;1492669 wrote:Biden is saying that Bush should for taking us into Iraq, they're trying to compare that to what Susan Rice said about Benghazi on Meet the Press, and no, it doesn't even come close to working.

gutIt would be a fun experiment to pay McD's worker $15/hr....but, oh, you're going to have to work twice as fast, make no mistakes...and if you're 10 seconds late you're fired.
See how long they go before demanding the old system. -

I also wonder how many people will be willing to pay $15 or more for a Big Mac "value" meal to sustain that $15 an hour wage?gut;1493259 wrote:It would be a fun experiment to pay McD's worker $15/hr....but, oh, you're going to have to work twice as fast, make no mistakes...and if you're 10 seconds late you're fired.

QuakerOats[h=3]Bipartisan Group Of Senators Decry Keystone Delays.[/h]The “E2 Wire” blog of The Hill (8/30, Geman) reports that bipartisan quartet of senators “say President Obama should not allow a State Department inspector general (IG) probe of the Keystone XL pipeline review process to further delay a final permit decision.” Recently, the IG indicated “its review of the department’s selection of a contractor analyzing the project would bleed into 2014, raising the prospect that a federal permit decision could await the outcome.” Sens. John Thune, John Hoeven, Max Baucus and Mary Landrieu “together issued statements” yesterday “criticizing the potential for more delays in the five-year federal review.”
Roll Call (8/30, Shiner, Subscription Publication) reports that in a statement, Hoeven said, “This marks the fourth delay of the Keystone XL project since 2011, when the State Department issued its final EIS finding no significant environmental impact and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton informed me that the agency expected to make a decision by December of that year. ... This tactic of delay and deferral must stop. It is depriving America of jobs, hurting the American economy and hurting the American people.” Landrieu stated, “Time is up for President Obama to approve the Keystone XL pipeline.”

IggyPride00Politico is saying Biden and Obama were reportedly on the golf course less than 30 minutes after the Syria announcement today.
I almost feel kind of bad that world events and the life or death decision of whether to go to war got in the middle of their weekly tee time.
I don't have a problem with the amount of golf he plays, but it was striking to see how quickly he can change gears from making the case to go to war to Congress and our nation and not even half an hour later be teeing off on #1 with crazy uncle Joe. -

Only going to get worse as the next round of sequestration goes into effect. Tax raises and spending cuts continue to drag on people's incomes as the shrinking deficit sucks money out of the private sector and monetary offset isn't getting it done. We need to immediately cut taxes and/or increase spending and stop wasting so much time worrying about big numbers in Securities accounts at the FED and start worrying about all of the lost output, all of the ruined lives, all of the lost wealth.....etc. etc.QuakerOats;1496271 wrote:WEAK: +169,000 NEW JOBS, MASSIVE DOWNWARD REVISIONS...

And Obama's going to give a speech on Syria and Boehner is prepared to take only more money out of the private sector cus he doesn't like big numbers in Securities accounts at the FED..... -

Area is still strong, but saying the Seq. doesn't have an impact is not accepting reality.
Ginger Groeber, founder and chief executive of the contracting job search site Exfederal.com, said she has recently noticed an uptick in job seekers from Maryland in her database. And Groeber said they are not just former employees of small-to-mid-size firms; they are increasingly from large contracting companies.“I think it’s because the larger companies who have been maintaining some of the ‘bench strength’ of people who they think they can use on other contracts, they’re not seeing those come through,” Groeber said.
Booz Allen Hamilton is one firm that has begun to let go of bench strength that it could not place on contracts. In an earnings call on July 31, the company said this strategy has been “a significant factor in our ability to control our indirect costs.” -

Obamacare is actually not marxist at all but a conservative way to generate actual valuable competition amongst insurers rather than simply trying to only insure healthy people. It was a great idea and a credit to the Heritage Foundation and the conservative movement which used to have good ideas for generating a way toward universal insurance w/o single-payer.QuakerOats;1496367 wrote:Sequestration has absolutely nothing to do with anything --- it is not even a drop in the bucket.

That "drop in the bucket" is billions of dollars that aren't being credited to private sector bank accounts. What a way to stack the odds against our entrepreneurs, producers and business owners by ensuring that there are fewer dollars to spend to buy their output!QuakerOats;1496367 wrote:Sequestration has absolutely nothing to do with anything --- it is not even a drop in the bucket.

You mean it is billions of IOU's not being peddled by another insolvent government.
You are so far into the kool-aid it is comical. -

Good. Since government runs a deficit that means less pressure on taxpayers and private sector employers. Government can either get efficient, or start eliminating itself.ptown_trojans_1;1496375 wrote:You do know that contracts are not being renewed right? This leads to contractors shedding jobs....
