Did the Obama administration lie about the embassy attacks?

  • HitsRus
Foreign policy is going to be an area that Romney necessarily will have to be vague, because he is not in a position to have knowledge of intimate details. Obama is Commander in Chief and is privy to all the information, and hence can appear to be more knowledgeable or 'analytical' than the guy who is still on the outside.

Still, it is easy to see that BHO's FP is a mess. He claims success in 'bringing Bin Laden to justice' and ending the war in Iraq....but is any of that any different than what would have happened if GWB (or McCain) was in charge? He has completely wasted the GMEI, and blown the handling of the Arab spring. (Condoleeza Rice alluded to this at the RNC)
We've 'lost' Egypt, alienated Israel, and have put off dealing with Russian issues and Iran until 'he has more flexibility' after the re-election.(assuming BHO's reelection). Our ambassador and three others murdered, amid a burgeoning cover -up. Everything he seems to do is not necessarily for the good of the United States...but for the good of his own re-election. This scares me as much as his fiscal and domestic policies.
    Really? four more years?

Here's what Barry thinks about young Americans giving their lives for their country...and their commander in chief - http://www.click2houston.com/news/Father-of-fallen-Marine-upset-by-president-s-letter/-/1735978/16904582/-/q7u9agz/-/index.html

For those that don't want to click it, here's the take home:
HOUSTON - A man who lost a son to the war in Afghanistan is disappointed in the condolence letter he received from President Barack Obama.
Tom Logan, a Willis resident, calls the note late, impersonal, disrespectful and essentially a form letter.
Young examined the letter written to Tom Logan, which arrived by UPS truck four months after his son's death.
"I would agree, this is a personal sacrifice and an impersonal condolence," Young said.
Young said that it appears Obama's predecessor, George W. Bush, wrote more personal, individualized, sometimes hand-written notes to the families of soldiers.
To repeat: Barry signed a form letter delivered by a UPS truck 4 months after the soldier's death. Commander-in-Chief my ass.

I'm glad Bush took more of personal approach to contacting families whose kids have died in the war.. since..you know.. HE CAUSED THE FUCKING MESS!!!

And Bush forced all those military members to sign up for the job too! It's a shame they didn't have a choice.

Only partly... they didn't have jobs to go to :)

Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Why do you think your hero keeps pursuing new wars? Pulling workers from the labor pool and lining them up in front of a firing squad tends to keep the unemployment numbers in check.

Hardly my hero. Just the lesser of two evils.

Huh...Bush caused 911. Strange, I suppose, unless you're a "truther" or have followed Ron Paul's rants against Bush. Are you either?

Back to the point...Barry loathes the military more than Clinton it would seem based on his disdain for people making the ultimate sacrifice so he can develop his brand of socialism.

Click on the link I provided. The marine died in Afghanistan. You remember, Obama called it, "the good war". It's now the longest war in our nation's 236 year history. Oh...I forgot...we have defeated the Taliban, they are really nice dudes now, and Al Queda is reduced to lobbing firecrackers. Unless, of course, you'd like to talk to someone that's been there. Someone like Lara Logan - http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/10/09/lara-logan-s-war-cry.html

Nope, but it's the one he refuses to end.

Refuses to end?...hardly. Barry has announced to all the world when we will be pulling out of AFGH....brilliant strategist that he is.

Psshaw....Obama makes lots of promises that never come to fruition. Rookie :D

    Like Hope and Change?

I like his new slogan "Forward"...LOL...Gee, Do you you think we could have done some of that the past 4 years?

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
LOL @ re- electing this guy who wants to keep doing the same things, saying that they need more time to work.:p

Whlie announcing withdrawal dates is ignorant and undesirable, it does not mean he couldn't have got our kids out of that hell hole by now. 11+ years and what do we have...one dead Bin Laden and thousands of American kids killed since Barry took over. No coherent rules of engagement. No exit strategy. No strategy whatsoever. Nothing. Empty chair syndrome. Get the fuck out before they whack us more.

State department comes clean, happened weeks too late but at least this is a start:

    Some more info:

Susan Rice needs to resign or be fired by the end of the week, if not sooner. The incompetence and cover up is mind-staggering.

Hopefully 4 weeks from now the problem will take care of itself.

And the BHO campaign is clinging to the lame "Romney lied in the debate" line and "Romney wants to kill Big Bird" stupidity to convince us he deserves 4 more years to keep this kind of incompetence going.

+1 on the need for a resignation...+1 on the cover-up.

She will probably get canned/resign after the election....when Barry has more "flexibility". Even so, she will be nothing more than a scapegoat. It would be like the Indians firing Manny Acta for the incompetenece of the front office/owner.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Yesterday at OSU BHO continued with his "we have come too far to turn back now" theme....defining his campaign for a second round and those that support him as 'insane.' Yes, if we keep doing what we are doing, someday it will work.
  • QuakerOats
Rice should be fired, the resignation should come from obama.

Had this been a republican in the White House the media would have DEMANDED it, and the candidacy for president would have been buried.

There can be no greater example of the blatant and massive media bias than this.

It's starting to look like Obie stepped on his own dik pretty hard with this. He's gonna have some issues, what with the State Dept. on capitol hill today basically calling him a liar.

The foreign policy debate just got a whole lot more interesting.

Ehhh, I think it will mostly be a push anyway. Short on specifics and it's hard to attack a position as verifiably wrong or unjustified given the nature of foreign policy. I was watching some of the commission today and was thinking "well, what SHOULD they have done with other troops near by - helicopter in and start shooting into an angry mob?!?"

Problem if Mitt goes after Obama for this is he open himself up to questions/criticisms for jumping the gun (and vice versa). I doubt if they are neck-and-neck that either candidate will really want to go there.
