Malia Obama's Vacation in Mexico

The children of every President in the history of the US has been off limits to the press up until now. What has changed and why? You think Mitt's five kids will also be off limits if he gets elected after this? Don't give me Bush's kids, one was arested, and that was news worthy.

And again, I'm not passing a judgement on who is/would be better. But if it's as obvious as you seem to believe, there really is no excuse for the relatively easy path to reelection Obama is going to have.

The Republicans can't field a good candidate, and of the group of losers they DO have, they can't even manage to pick one. It's pathetic to watch, and one of the major reasons they're going to be two time losers to Obama.
Congrats. You've bought the media view of things. At every opportunity, they talk about how the field has flip flopped and Republicans can't choose a front runner, yada yada yada.

They want the public to buy in that the Republicans are disorganized and in chaos and won't be able to challenge Obama -- because that's what they WANT to happen.

    None of it is true.

Romney has been a fairly stable leader in this race almost from the beginning, slowly but surely expanding his number of delegates -- despite some losses here and there.

It's a primary, and a bit closer than most of those in the past -- but it is NOT as it's being portrayed in the media; which has a fairly obvious agenda if you simply listen to how they position stories and phrase things.

Here is a link to the current delegate count. Romney has a stable lead and is halfway to clinching the nomination -- and it's the middle of March.

Small minds will think the Republican party is a circus because that's what the media tells them. People don't think for themselves anymore, which is why we are where we are in this country. Here's to 4 more years of Romney/Obama, and 4 more years of growing deficits and no real plan to solve anything.

News flash: The Republican Party is a circus.

Now when the next Republican lives in the White House (Jamuary 2017 at the earliest) we should remember the petty nonsense a lot of you have made over Obama's children. Your actions have made every president's children fair game for the most ridiculous bullshit imaginable. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. With all the problems facing us as a nation you stoop to this kind of nitpicking. It's no wonder your candidates for nomination are such laughing stocks. Perhaps they are a more accurate reflection of their supporters than we had imagined.

You seem to believe anyone who sees things differently than you "bought into the media view of things." I can't tell you the last time I watched any sort of "mainstream" media. I'm simply observing the situation and assessing it, no different than you [claim] to be doing.

I've been telling you people Romney would be the nominee for damn near a year now. Even when we had to hear how Bachman/Perry/Cain/Gingrich/whoever was going to unseat him. I wagered a pretty significant sum of money on Romney to be the nominee back in 2010 actually. So trust me, I'm aware of the delegate count.

The problem isn't that Romney will/won't eventually get the delegate count, it's that this is a group of awful candidates already, and they still don't have a true leader. This isn't Obama/Hilary where either could have won the general. For the Republicans to even have a slim chance at one of these clowns beating Obama, they're going to need a very strong, organized, and coherent narrative. They have yet to have any semblance of one.

Romney should have wrapped this up weeks ago given he's outspending everyone 8-1, but he keeps saying stupid things. The more the other Republicans force him to talk, and the more they hammer him on things like health care(a weak spot, but something Obama won't be able to attack on) the weaker a general election candidate they make him. And Romney's a pretty weak candidate already, given his track record of losing nearly everything he runs for.

I don't know what the "media" has been saying, but the reality is this: This is an extremely weak class of nominees. It's really pretty pathetic that this is the best the Republicans could come up with. And their best shot to beat Obama, Romney, is growing weaker with every primary he has to outspend 8-1 in only to win by 5% over a guy who got blown out of the water in his state senate election and talks about banning porn all the time.

If you think this is all media invention and I'm an idiot, that's fine. But I'm betting the profit I'm about to make from my Romney bet on Obama winning reelection, and I'll be right again.

Even though Sarah Palin wasn't a President, the liberal media ('news' and otherwise) blew that door wide open. And every hard-line liberal/democrat licked it up like spit on a sidewalk; and most defended it. Not all, but most.

To those people who are now scratching their heads wondering how this could happen - pat yourself on the back. You have just reaped what you have sown.

I'm not sure I have ever seen a Republican field like this. 3 of the 4 canidates aren't currently serving in any political office. The best canidate hasn't even won a primary. The Repubs can kick themselves in the ass when they hand the election to Obama in November.

Explain to me how the Republican party is a circus.

As far as the other comment, welcome to politics. Did you miss how Democrats treated Bush for 8 years? Obama is no different.

For Obama wanting the media out his kids life, he sure loves to invoke his family into everything...

I just love how the Republicans go after the MSM, while at the same time making sure their microphones and cameras are set up and on while they make their latest pronouncements. If the MSM were so in the tank for Obama, as many here believe they are, why do they even bother to cover these guys? Maybe it's because everyone loves a good circus act.

The media's attack on Palin's children was disgusting. The public perception was spun that the oldest two girls were a couple of whore's (including the 14 year old Willow) and the kid with Down's Syndrome was actually Bristol's. Yes, someone will respond that Bristol got pregnant and that opened the door. Pretty shameful when you consider the left likes to pride themselves as the party who likes to help young women in that situation (Planned Parenthood).

They are waiting to play that game of "gotcha". I loved the CNN Debate when Newt went off on John King for trying to envoke his ex-wife in the presidential debates.

LOL...so true. The humor in extremely predictable people calling others predictable is awesomely hilarious.

circus or not i see a blowout win for obama...i dont see any charisma or real proven leadership from the GOP side. its very surprising actually. at least someone who was entertaining or popular/funny would be better than what they have out there now imo

What did Obama have in '08? A Harvard law degree? They graduate nearly 600 people a year. His resume would fit on one page.

What does Obama have in '12? Four years of epic fail.

I can see that point, but at least Romney ran Bain. Obama had his choice of law firms, or his choice of any judicial clerkship, up to the point of SCOTUS. Why didn't he do it? He's done nothing other than being awesome for the sake of being awesome, and the American public is suffering for it. I swear he can't even read a balance sheet. He has zero real world experience.

i really cant say much for or against obama i didnt vote last time and wont vote this time i really abhor politics and think all politicians are crooks. im just looking at it from an unbiased perspective and dont like the idea of how other countries would respect any of the gop candidates...i would have rated sarah palin above most of these and she has zero credentials. of the gop i guess gingrich has the most swag but he may have too much baggage.

No matter who wins, it isn't gonna be a blowout either way. I'm close to guaranteeing that neither side breaks 280 EVs.
