HitsRus...I'm not touching that either. I'll just let it hang....I'm sure that IWP wants to redefine the term just like he did with 'conservative'. Sooner or later he'll enlighten us. I'm in no hurry.

Get used to it believer. It's their mantra. They absolutely know that a candidate will get creamed about 400 to 135 in the electoral college if they run as a liberal. Slick Willie proved it and now Barry gets to lie daily as he claims Porkulus, ObamaKare, and Cap-n-Trade are conservative ideals. Count on a heavy dose of this bullbutter for 8 mo months.believer;1111782 wrote:Someone else can respond to this. I don't even know where to begin........... -

I didn't redefine the term conservative. Conservative does not mean "for imperialism".HitsRus;1111794 wrote:...I'm not touching that either. As for Obama, other than the health care bill what has he done that's particularly liberal? -

Really I think everyone in America wants their mortgages paid, unlimited fuel fill-ups for their vehicles at the pump, free healthcare for everything, 5 years of unemployment benefits, and on and on. But hopefully a majority aren't willing to give up their individual liberties for the false promises of obtaining those things.isadore;1111910 wrote:really I think the large majority of Americans want tax increases on the rich and protection of social security and medicare and contraceptive availability protected.liberalism -

People are prejudiced on both sides both white and black. People just cant stand this guy and want to discredit him solely becuse he is black even though many wont say it . Im just being real . Bush got us into the mess we are in and now Obama is getting us out . He made the move on Bin Ladin didnt he . He ended the war in Iraq didnt he . He is getting us out of Afghanistan isnt he . The economy is recovering isnt it . People like Limbaugh rather see Americans suffer rather than be wrong and Americans be more healthy . I cant believe I was once a republican. I am not far left either but I do like this president because I feel like he is one of us and that has never happened before . All those other skull and cross bones secret society presidents are no good . Bush was a dictator and he invaded another country on false pretenses . Yet those republicans would try to impeach president Clinton for having an affaire . No I despise the right wing moral nazi's ,but I see how they fool so many people.bigdaddy2003;1111187 wrote:Lol this is a joke right? Yeah, all white people who are against the president are racist. That is such a tired argument. I know I know white people are the only people who are racist. /sarcasm. The man was OVERWHELMINGLY elected in 08. Oh and you don't think he has used just a little bit of a racial tone in some of his rhetoric? I'm sure you don't. You think his policies are helping the economy? Yeah, Rush doesn't want him to succeed. Did you ever think that could be because there are people who think that he wants to change our country? No, you automatically jump to the easy argument and pull the race card. I'm glad you posted this because now I know not to take you seriously in this forum. I think someone spiked the leftist kool-aid you are drinking. I can't wait for your reply. -

So if an individual makes a poor financial decision it is the government's fault? If I sign a mortgage that I can't afford how is that not my fault?isadore;1111948 wrote:For those tricked into buying homes by deceptive mortgage offers allowed to bankers by deregulation, for those whose gas price are raise by oil speculators allowed by deregulation, to those unemployed by bain capital type corporate predatores allowed by deregulation hopefully our government of the people will be there to protect them. -

I realize your heart bleeds for the criminal banking class. My sympathies lie more with the average folk tricked into buying homes with deceptive promises and fine print. Then abused, ripped off by their corporate lenders and all because of deregulation.Al Bundy;1111964 wrote:So if an individual makes a poor financial decision it is the government's fault? I am a registered democrat. I just don't understand how someone can't calculate how much they can afford to pay for a mortgage. I know how much I make, and I know how much I can afford to pay for a mortgage or rent. If I sign a deal that is beyond what I can afford to pay, that is my fault.isadore;1111981 wrote:I realize your heart bleeds for the criminal banking class. People can be judged by their statements, You can call yourself a Democrat but your statements put yourself of the other side of the spectrum. Mortgage lenders with billions in resources are able to use the best in legal talent to prepare duplicitous agreements worded to trick average folk into mortgage agreements completely against their interest. Deregulation has made this possible.Al Bundy;1111987 wrote:I am a registered democrat. I just don't understand how someone can't calculate how much they can afford to pay for a mortgage. Not one single person currently in Congress or any conservative running for office has EVER suggested making BC hard to obtain. My Lord you are a complete retard if you believe so.
Paying full price for BC costs about $15/month, maybe $35 if you can't take generic for medical reasons (hardly anyone percentage wise).
The problem conservatives have is the government forcing religious institutions to go against their belief system and providing this already cheap pill for free.
Huge difference, anyone who acts like convervatives are trying to take away a woman's "right to BC" is a moron. -

Don't sign a mortgage if it is beyond your means. When I go shopping for something, I know it is the company's goal to make as much as they can. It is up to me to decide what I can afford to spend. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how much home he/she can afford to buy based upon the take home pay. I am a democrat, but I don't feel sorry for idiots whether they are democrat or republican. If someone can't multiply their take home pay by 30% and determine if the mortgage is below that amount, he/she probably shouldn't be buying a home in the first place.isadore;1111997 wrote:People can be judged by their statements, You can call yourself a Democrat but your statements put yourself of the other side of the spectrum. You do realize the deregulation of the banks/loans was started by Carter and enforced/pushed by Clinton right?isadore;1111948 wrote:For those tricked into buying homes by deceptive mortgage offers allowed to bankers by deregulation, for those whose gas price are raise by oil speculators allowed by deregulation, to those unemployed by bain capital type corporate predatores allowed by deregulation hopefully our government of the people will be there to protect them.
They forced banks to qualify people (read poor) who should never have qualified for loans. -

And they are complete idiots if they think taxing the rich and corporations can pay for those things. $1.5T in deficits. Where is the money going? $1T more, on average, than the deficits in the Bush era. Right you are supporter of the party of people. Bank America and its ilk prepared instruments to beguile the working Americans to try for their dream of home ownership. Then when their names were on the dotted line they found themselves in a trap. Decent people sympathize with the victims. The rest support the banks.Al Bundy;1112006 wrote:Don't sign a mortgage if it is beyond your means. When I go shopping for something, I know it is the company's goal to make as much as they can.
