Dow plummets 500+ points, Nasdaq down over 5%

queencitybuckeyeAnalysts blame the seeming "never ending wall of bad news" and "crisis fatigue".
Will these clowns in D.C. ever learn (or admit) that the single best thing they can do for the economy is GTFO to the maximum possible extent? -
fan_from_texasUgly day for the Dow. Let's hope the jobs report reverses some of that momentum. The economy appears to be out of steam, which may mean we'll see QE3 here in a bit ...

QuakerOatsIt is UNCERTAINTY that is killing the markets, and as long as the obama regime continues to supply the uncertainty there will be no improvement.
Change we can believe in .......... -

I have proof of this:
The share of the eligible population holding a job declined to 58.1 percent, the lowest since July 1983.
This guy needs to resign, today.
Change we can believe in ......... -

What the fuck?! -
HereticSo, Belly needs to build a time machine, go to Dec. 31, 2011, find out the unemployment rate, warp back to now and provide proof of what he found.
Makes logical sense.
Note to all: NO SPECULATION/PREDICTIONS ALLOWED. Gibby get mad. -

Is that, like, a joke? You're seriously asking him to provide proof that a prediction about the future will come true?
Businesses are sitting on record amounts of cash. Did you see the BONY yesterday now charging interest on certain deposits? This strongly suggests that uncertainty about the future (particularly as regards the impact of governmental/regulatory actions) is killing private investment. Unless the White House gets its act together shortly, Obama will be a one-termer. -

A .5% rise in unemployment in this kind of economy isn't that far off of a prediction.
Do you have proof that the most incompetent president in US history is going to get reelected next year? -
Belly35The unemploymnet report just came out at 9.1% wait, wait , wait and then the real numbers will be reported ... (closer to 9.2 than 9.1)

WTF? Several million jobs created during Bush presidency despite recessions and 9/11. On the other hand obama presidency has resulted in multi-millions in job losses, and it continues. But when you have a anti-jobs, anti-investment, anti-business, anti-capitalism regime running the show, this is to be expected. he deserves to lose in a massive landslide like no other president in history ---- if we can somehow survive until the election. -
Ty WebbAnd Bush also lost over 6 million jobs and we were the closest to another depression as we have ever been under his watch...
So again...were you asking for him to resign Quaker?
You guys are always on my ass you back-up claims I make with something to support it....Bell should be held to the same standard -

sleeperTy Webb;852388 wrote:Were you calling for Bush to resign back in 2008 Quaker?
Bush started office in 2000 with an unemployment rate of 4.1%. He ended Jan 2008 with an unemployment rate of 5%. Obama has caused unemployment rates to nearly DOUBLE since he's been in office. -

How can you ask for proof for something that has not happened yet? -

You are factually incorrect, again, but are you also nuts?
