Is he being charged with a crime? If not, what the heck are you talking about? It is obvious to anyone with an IQ above 12 that he's done something like this in the past, even if he didn't pull this stunt.
If someone sends a pic of a crotch from my Twitter account, my reaction would be unequivocally: "its not me, I hope the police find who hacked my account", not hemming and hawing and saying he isn't sure if it is him or not - why would I react that way? I don't take pics of my crotch. Him hiring a private investigator is akin to OJ hiring someone to find out who killed his wife and her lover. It destroys his credibility. Sorry if it hurts you that one of your DEMS is a total douche, but he's a douche....and making his defenders look like fools. -

Never said anything about defending him. Take a few minutes and read my other post on this thread. Weiner screwed up and is making matters worse with his "explanations". I don't care which party he belongs to, the bottom line is he screwed up. Any consequence or heat he takes is his to deal with. I just don't like the idea of the "100% guilty by listening and watching him". Hell, if that were the case we could save a lot of money in the courts by simply hiring ccrunner and his ilk to decide who's guilty and who's not.
By the way, Bill Maher really needled Weiner on his show last night. He did have one thing that stood out, though. He said it was obvious that Weiner was a Democrat because the picture was sent to a woman. -

You and ccrunner agree. You both are convinced Wiener is full of shit. If what ccrunner, you, and I believe is true, then there will not be a court case. I said before it is not against the law for an adult male to send a picture of his wiener to an adult female. Unlike most males that send pics of their wieners to females at least he kept his underwear on. I don't know when men are going to figure out sending pics of their dicks does not turn women on. They are not like us.stlouiedipalma;790620 wrote:Never said anything about defending him. Take a few minutes and read my other post on this thread. The capital police do not believe what Wiener is claiming in public either. That is why thankfully they are not wasting taxpayer dollars and launching an investigation to find the "hacker" that they at this point do not believe exists.
The words needled and Wiener made me cringe. As for Maher's gay joke. Jokes like this can be funny if they have an element of truth in them. Both parties have had their gay scandals. Barney Frank had a male prostitute on hire who was also servicing clients from Barneys home. Gerry Studds had sex with a 17yr old male page. Looks like the republican gays like to play footsy or send steamy messages to young pages. At least the Dem gays actually get it done.stlouiedipalma;790620 wrote:By the way, Bill Maher really needled Weiner on his show last night. He did have one thing that stood out, though. I agree with you that what went down wasn't against the law. What is does, however, is cast a lot of doubt on Weiner outside of his district. Just because there is no law broken doesn't mean there isn't collateral damage. -

stlouiedipalmaWeiner live press conference ongoing. He admits everything. Should have done this from the beginning, as the truth usually comes out in this day and age. He's not resigning, but it will be interesting to see how the voters deal with this next year.

stlouiedipalmaYou have to give the guy credit, though. He's standing up there taking the heat. Not too many other disgraced politicians have done that. Usually they slink away and don't take questions.

LOL...no you don't. The only reason he's "taking the heat" is because he faceplanted when trying to weasel his way out of it. And might I add, in fine Democrat fashion is refusing to step down after disgracing the office.stlouiedipalma;792372 wrote:You have to give the guy credit, though. Why don't Dem's have enough respect for their office to ever step down? -

Exactly, I'd give him credit if he didn't lie and was honest from the beginning - he deserves no credit now, he's being forthcoming only because he got caught. He had no other choice. What a sleaze. -
Prescott
He comes from a very liberal district. He has no worries about getting re-elected. Lying and poor judgement do not matter to his constituents.but it will be interesting to see how the voters deal with this next year. -

WriterbuckeyeDear Bill Mahr:
You are absolutely correct about being able to tell this sex scandal was a Democrat because it was all about the hetero sex photos, and God knows Dems don't do no homo scandals.
Sincerely,

None of these scumbags were able to hold onto their political power for long. The bigger problem with Frank and Studds is they held on to their political power. Studds kept it for nearly 15yrs unitl his honorable retirement. Frank is still going strong and will continue his political power and good standing withing the democrat party until he chooses to retire with honors.stlouiedipalma;793092 wrote:Don't forget to include these guys...

President of the United States George W. Bush, was accused in a criminal complaint and lawsuit of raping Margie Schoedinger, who later died in a questionable case of suicide. Bush was also accused by Tammy Phillips, a former stripper, who was quoted in the National Enquirer in 2000 saying she had an affair with Bush that had ended in 1999. Another serious question involves statements from the wife of Red Blount, whom Bush campaigned for, while possibly A.W.O.L from the Air National Guard at age 26. She stated that he was "all over their 14 year old daughter." -

Yeah, that was really disgusting. It's too bad you gave up on the article, because there was so much more about those honorable Republicans. It seems no political party has a monopoly of sex-related wrongdoing. The thing is, if you are willing to dig a little bit you can uncover all sorts of sordid stuff underneath the rocks.
