New Nazis Against Gays

Do straight dogs hate gay dogs? I need to know this.

Did I miss something? Are the Nazi's invading?

...not quite sure how that correlates to the topic at hand. Should we not expect to act differently than the dogs? Isn't acting like a dog a derogatory term?

Is it any wonder that we are paranoid? It has only been a few short decades since gays and lesbians had to register with the police in the United States. I think we've grown to the point where we don't trust anybody.
Maybe you should consider buying a gun; before your liberal 'friends' take that right away .........

Not sure if it correlates or not, when we take our dog to the dog park it seems every dog is gay.

And to keep this political (and not completely tongue in cheek), I don't think acting like a dog is a derogatory term (and Obama's comments about "they talk about me like a dog" evidenced his lack of dog knowledge). Dogs' actions are usually very noble. They look to the pack leader - typically the humans - for guidance and will do anything to please and protect the pack leader. Even putting their own lives on the line.

For the most part, the human species hates, maims, kills a lot more of their own than any other mammal. Oh sure, cats are known to not get along that well...but for the most part, the highest intellectual mammal (us humans) are far and away the most barbaric.

Acceptance of homosexuals on my part is one of the few social conservative stance changes that I have undertaken. With that said, I think that regarding this subject...FWK...the horse is dead. Time to let it go.

This thread isn't about Jews. But because you brought it up, since the end of World War II, Jews have been very vocal in making their plight known to the world. In a few weeks, there will be an exhibition shown out here in Seattle about the Holocaust. A Jewish group is sponsoring it. I plan to attend because it will also talk about the 100,000 gay men and lesbians who were exterminated in Hitler's concentration camps.

Someone said I live in an isolated community. No, Seattle is not isolated. My gay life is not isolated, either. Every Monday evening I sing with 250 gay men. We not only promote gay issues but we have given concerts for breast cancer awareness, we have given concerts to raise money to provide vocal music instruction in the Seattle Public Schools, we gave 9/11 memorial performances back in 2001, we are very active with the local Jewish community, and we do all sorts of other things to promote good causes. We are the only musical organization in Seattle that regularly performs in the symphonic hall and the opera house. ABC News did a spot on us a few years ago. We are a lot of things but we are not isolated.

This is why I think the definition the term "barbarism" needs re-evaluated.

Also, for what it's worth, I think that per capita, the species that regularly engage in cannibalism might still edge out humans as more destructive to one's own species. That's just speculation, though.

    Tee hee hee.

Maybe I'm the only one who observes this kind of thing, but I see this as a narcissistic statement (whether intentional or not). It makes it sound as though the only reason you might be compelled to go is because it talks about people with whom you identify strongly. Sort of this, "I'll go ... only because it will involve some discussion on my own sitz im leben."

I am assuming that's not how it was intended, but it came across that way.

From essentially reading this thread, I'd look at the main problem as being what appears to be a "sky is falling" attitude. Kind of like on the Steelers-Ravens game thread where Non is already talking about hypothetical potential bad calls by refs before the game has even begun.

Taking the positive thought that things have been improving for homosexuals and then turning it into a "so when's it all gonna go to hell?" question just seems weird. It'd be like if I was at work and thought, "You know, I get along with co-workers, superiors seem to like me and I do a good job with efficiency...so I wonder if I'm getting fired next week!?"

Seattle may be the most liberal city in the United States. We have no tolerance for bigotry of any kind.

It's pretty funny to see "NO TOLERANCE" while denying any bigotry...

BIGOTRY is a synonym for INTOLERANTNESS LOLOLOL

All views are represented in Seattle, although most of us in the western part of the state are liberal.

One has little to do with the other. Columbus is both quite conservative and extremely gay-friendly. The implication that "the right" is where you find the homophobes and other bigots exclusively is as insulting as it is incorrect.

No it isn't incorrect. We deal with this here in the state of Washington. The voters recently voted in "all but marriage" rights. Gay people (as well as a lot of unmarried straight people) have all the rights of marriage. We just don't call it marriage. At any rate, the conservative eastern part of the state voted against it. It passed because the liberal areas of Seattle and Tacoma voted for it.

The Jews are vocal about their plight by having an exhibition about the Holocaust? Please, use some common sense. The Jews reflect and will not forget the horrible attrocities that occured with the Holocaust, but they do not whine like you do about your "plight". This thread isn't even about anything that is actually happening; it's all hypotheticals and generalizations. This thread is shit.

One anecdote doesn't make for a legitimate defense.

Even some of the most liberal areas of California voted down same-sex marriage. There is far too much disagreement on this topic to paint it with such broad strokes.
