This is according to the Department of the Interior, which prior to BP Macondo, had oversight of Drilliing in Outer Continental Shelf waters.

Obama promised that he would guided by science, not ideology," Cassidy said. Cassidy said if that were true thousands of jobs and billions in economic activity would have been preserved on the Gulf coast.

Don't let a catastrophe go to waste!

    Not surprising.

Thank you for reminding us that the left always compares BHO with the person they claim is the worst president in history. Nice level-set.

But it's ok for you guys to act like Obama is the only President who has lies EVER

Just so we're clear then...you're okay with Obama lying because other presidents have?

I'm not "you guys". I actually have higher expectations for the officials I voted for, not lower. I was hugely disappointed in GWB, while having no positive expectation at all for BHO. Sad to say, he hasn't surprised me much.

Honestly, Ty/Gibby/et al....is this all you have??? Can't refute what is in the article, so you just state that others have done it to?

    BTW...Fab owned your ass.....

Now, back to the topic at hand......

    This.

I said when BHO was elected that I hoped that I wanted to vote for him in 2011...I desperately wanted him to do so well that I was moved to give him another 4 years in the White House.

    Not so much.....

No...I have a problem with Republicans point out every little thing wrong Obama does, but they are perfectly fine with GWB lying to get us into a war that has cost us almost two trillion dollars and almost 4,500 lives

So what is your position on the subject of this thread?
  • Ty Webb
It's 100% wrong what he did...

But....did any of you care to read this part

The inspector general's report, which was originally requested by Vitter and Rep. Steve Scalise in June, said the administration did not violate federal rules because the executive summary did not say the experts approved the recommendations, and the department offered a formal apology and had publicly clarified the nature of the expert review.
The report also says the engineer that levied the concerns accepted Salazar's explanation that the language was a mistake rather than an intentional attempt to use the peer-reviewers' names to justify a political decision.

Also, don't make this out to be like a bunch of people are coming after him. It's two Louisiana congressmen and Bobby Jindal

    You people are funny.

I'm honestly convinced you have this mental picture in your head of a smoke-filled room....Dubya, Darth and Rummy sipping cognac and saying "Well, it looks like there are no WMDs...let's just lie and say he has them. It's not like we'll get busted in the end or anything...."
  • Belly35
Just remind me one more time... Durning the Bush years of 2002 Iraq both the Congress and Senate where Democrat Majority yes or no?
If I remember the vote was Senate 77-23 and the Congress 296-133
..... If you want to place a blame you may start with your own Party..... Bush did not go to the dance alone.....

Apparently Bush believed the same lies provided to him by American and British intelligence sources. You know, the same lies that the Clinton's, Kerry, Daschle, Harkin, Albright, Berger, Byrd, Edwards, Gore, and many other Democrats believed well before "W" took office. Those liars too right?

    Game.Set.Match.

It's not like THE WHOLE FUCKING FREE WORLD didn't believe he had WMD or anything, right? Do we have to go back and link that long, long list of DEMOCRATS WHO HONESTLY BELIEVED Iraq had WMD and needed taking out?

This isn't about Bush, anyway. When are you libs going to MOVE ON (.org) and accept responsibility for the government YOU HAVE IN PLACE NOW?

    Such a whiny ass bunch.

Gibby, as my momma always said "Just because they jumped off a bridge it doesn't mean you have to". Keep up the good work though; the more and more Obama loyalists fail any accountability they more likely BHO will be out of the White House in 2012 and starting his new gig taking over Olbermann's time slot on MSNBC.

A weapon of mass destruction (WMD) is a weapon that can kill and bring significant harm to a large numbers of humans (and other life forms) and/or cause great damage to man-made structures (e.g. buildings), natural structures (e.g. mountains), or the biosphere in general

Gas is intended to kill small number of people at a time. There for...Gas isn't a WMD

Why was Bush so quick to believe these lies, but when he was told point blank one month before 9/11 happened it was going to happen,he brushed it off and kept going?

And yes, they were liars about this too
