No, you are missing the whole point.
They, the Bush administration higher level officials, truly thought Iraq had WMD.
They thought this because the intelligence was faulty and built up over 1998-2002. The intelligence was never properly vetted, and by the time it was too late, the WH had their own agenda.
But, they did not lie. They were just wrong.
Lying assumes they knew Iraq had no WMD, but went anyways. That is simply not the case. -

When do you think that YOU will be ready to let President Obama stand alone, on his own two feet, and take responsibility for what HE and his administration does - without bringing blame from somebody else into the situation?
Now? Next year? 2012?
When do you think you'll be able to do that? -
Little DannyNever CenterBHSfan. Obama could rape and murder a group of elementary schools students tonight and somehow Gibby and his kind will be on here the next day blaming Bush and saying how it was no different than when Bush (fill in the blank with Iraq, Katrina, the economy, waived at Stevie Wonder, etc).
-
Ty WebbI make him accountable all the time.
What I'm completely fed up with is that every single time Obama does something wrong, you guys are right here to point it out,but where the hell where you guys when Bush was getting us into a war that we didn't need to be involved in and spending us into oblivion?
That right there is hypocrisy at its best! -

...!
How can you make another person accountable? -
Ty WebbStand alone,accountable
What ever the hell Center said -
Con_AlmaI'm not asking about Center's comment.
I don't understand yours. -
Ty WebbShe asked when I was going to make President Obama accountable/standup
-
Con_Alma...your response was you make him accountable all the time.
How does somebody do that?? -
Ty WebbI misunderstood...i thought she said accountable, but she said stand up
-
Con_AlmaI see, Thank you for your explanation.

Do I understand correctly your response to the above question then was that you make him stand on his own all the time? Can you give an example of how you do that?
Thanks. -
CenterBHSFanThere are a multitude of things that Obama/his administration are doing and have done in which people don't like or trust that have nothing whatsoever to do with Bush.
Period.
The incident concerning this thread has NOTHING to do with Bush. So... why even bring his name into it? It makes no sense to do so. If Bush's administration edited a report so that it appeared to benefit a certain stance on drilling, then it would make sense to bring Bush into it, hold both incidences up together, and compare issues.
But, it didn't happen like that, so it's useless, fruitless and baseless to do so.
If you're really that zealous to defend Obama in this particular situation, then find a positive in the negative and hold it up before the crowd. Explain how this is beneficial to all, not just an agenda. That is how to defend Obama and his administration concerning this particular subject. -

Actually, if you look back, most of the real conservatives on here were pointing out what GWB was doing wrong all the time. So you are completely wrong, yet again. -
WriterbuckeyeLibs like Ty will never EVER completely let the Bush presidency go. Why? Because they did everything in their power to beat him, had the power of the media behind them, and still lost that war. It eats at them every day. So it doesn't matter whether what Obama is screwing up is somehow related to Bush or not; somehow, some way, they will try to make it relevant.
I swear, it's almost a mental illness, and Ty is by far the only lib I've seen do it. Almost every liberal person I know (yes I actually know a few) responds with a slam against Bush whenever Obama is held accountable for his latest fuckup. -

He also has some data from Marathon Oil Company that was leaked. If you're interested take a look at it, pretty thorough review of what happened. -

Synopsis? -
j_crazythey're not long reads, and the title of the article is a pretty good synopsis. the blog just rants on the fact that the moratorium lifted 2 months ago and 0 permits have been issued for deepwater and (even though it's not mentioned) only a fraction of the number of permits issued last year have been issued for shelf drilling. Rigs are losing contracts, laying people off, going overseas, etc. and all the while no progress is being made by the DOI. It's their uncertainty on new regs that's scaring everyone off.
the 60 page powerpoint that the guy somehow got from Marathon is pretty tight too. the best summary of what happened with the Macondo well that I've seen. -
CenterBHSFanPretty sad testament to the current administration.
