Two polls show President Obama

Yep...it's the economy, stupid. Thanks, Slick Willie.
In the irony of ironies, the Republicans take the House and Senate in 2010, business sees that Obama will be stopped in his socialist economic pursuits, money flows in for expansion knowing that profits and expenditures won't be taxed into outer space, the Bush tax cuts are extended, the Capital Gains tax is lowered, the Cap and Tax talk is in the incinerator, and the economy rebounds mightily. Everyone will forget that the socialist/marxist President tried to ruin everything and he will be granted 4 more years because the Republicans stopped him from destroying the country. He revels in the great news, proclaims it is all because of him and his stimulus, the Tea Party is convicted of racism, and he gets re-elected in spite of everything he believes in.
At least Hillary won't be running in 2016. -
wgh raiderquaker oats i sure can see christie getting elected in a republican primary down south!!! lol!!

He won the republican primary in one of the more left leaning states in the union, New Jersey. He then went on to win the governers seat in NJ's general election. His message of bringing fiscal sanity to government appeals to many on both sides. This message would appeal to large amounts of voters in California and New York, two states suffering from fiscal insanity.wgh raider;469138 wrote:quaker oats i sure can see christie getting elected in a republican primary down south!!! lol!!
Christie is governing just as he said he would during the campaign. The only people surprised are the left at the size of his balls. They thought he would fold under political pressure.
Time to break out a Christie video.
-
majorsparkI would also point out that Christie boldly proclaims what needs to be done. He don't mince words or play politics. He lays it out and if the people don't like it they don't have to elect him. As our nations economic crisis contiues you will find more and more Americans crying out for leaders like him. Any Independent, Rebublican, or Democrat with a lick of common sense knows he right concerning his message of fiscal resoponsibility.
Here is an exerpt from an interview on Morning Joe in reference to a teacher who was complaining about Christie's budget proposals. Christie is right on the money.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2010/07/28/gov_christie_shine_a_bright_light_on_greed_and_self-interest.htmlNJ Gov. Chris Christie on "Morning Joe": This teacher complaining, they're getting four-to-five percent salary increases a year in a zero percent inflation world; they get free health benefits from the day they're hired--for their entire family--until the day they die. They believe they're entitled to this shelter from the recession when the people who are paying for that shelter are the people who have been laid off, who have lost their homes, had their hours cut back, and all we asked them to do was freeze their salary for one year and pay one-and-a-half percent of their salary for their health benefits. For the average teacher in New Jersey, you're talking about $750 a year for full-family health coverage. Now, I don't think that's a lot to ask, and I don't think we can continue anymore to be having the good people of New Jersey who have been laid off and all the rest--as much as I love teachers--you know, everyone's got to be part of the sacrifice.
Andrew Ross Sorkin: How do you do this in other states? How do you make this politically palatable? And you have a spine, but I've got to tell you, a lot of other politicians don't.
Christie: Well, they better get one because the times demand it. And if what you're going to do is just play the same old game and not speak directly to people and not treat them like adults, then you are bound for failure. Listen, all I'm doing is speaking the truth as I see it, and other people have to make their own judgments.
Sorkin: Are you not worried though about spending in your state in terms of those teachers who are actually going to be taking these cuts, whether they are going to be able to keep spending in the state and what that means for the economy?
Christie: First of all, they're not taking any cuts. I asked them to take cuts, and they said no. So, what cuts are they taking? These teachers are still getting their four or five percent increases. That interplay that you just saw was about me trying to convince people that they need to take a freeze, but, in the end, they didn't. The state teachers union said--they had a rally in Trenton against me. 35,000 people came from the teachers. You know what that rally was? The "me first" rally. "Pay me my raise first. Pay me my free health benefits first. Pay me my pension first. And everybody else in New Jersey, get to the back of the line." Well, you know what? I'm not going to sit by and allow that to go unnoticed, so we'll shine a bright light on it, and we'll see how the people react. But I think we are seeing how the people of New Jersey are reacting, and that's how you make it politically palatable in other states in the country. Just shine a bright light on greed and self-interest." -
ptown_trojans_1I like Christie, but i have no idea about his foreign policy ideas. But, domestically, I think I could support him. I like what he is doing in NJ, mainly cutting the budget and fighting unions. He is awesome on Morning Joe and loves when he comes on. If he runs, in 2012. I would seriously think about voting for him. He is by far, the most likely R I would vote for.

Real leaders do not govern by polls, they simply do the right things, manage well, maintain integrity and are forthright with the citizens. None of the above is, or has been, demonstrated by the radical ruling elites now in charge. Luckily they have only 60 days left before being voted out of office en masse.Paladin;468702 wrote:Let me simplify this for you since you are so ideological you can't see straight -- follow the polling on INDEPENDENTS over the last several decades and see where that leads you. Oh I forgot the south is full of bible thumping religious bigots, racists, and homophobe red necks.
In the last ten years there have been several catholic governors elected to state wide office in the south. Three being republicans that would have made it through those bigotted republican primaries.
Alabama - Don Seigalman (D) Catholic
Florida - Jeb Bush (R) Catholic
Louisianna - Kathleen Blanco (D) Catholic
- Bobby Jindal (R) Catholic
North Carolina - Mike Easly (D) Catholic
Virginia - Tim Caine (D) Catholic
- Bob Mcdonnell (R) Catholic -

WTF?
Obama spent alot of time learning at the knees of various muslim teachers, spent 20 years at that whacko Jeremiah Wright's church... and he got elected.
WTF are you talking about? -
Ty WebbCompletely different situation Center....not even close to the same thing
I love how you classify 1 year living with his father learning at the knees of Islamic teachers.
I would vote for Jindal in a heartbeat(except in 2012),but I;m being realilistic -

1. YOU would vote for Jindal? Sorry but I ain't buying it. Jindal's a republican, remember? And you only pray at the alter of "D"Ty Webb;469969 wrote:Completely different situation Center....not even close to the same thing

Perhaps you forgot how you said I couldn't be a democrat because I have voted for republican before? (it's ok to forget)
2. Isn't that what Obama did? Learn from his father and his teachings when he was around him? Including his fathers religion?
My point being: people knew this about Obama, having Muslim influences, and he was elected anyway. Religion isn't as big of a deal as it used to be, I don't think.
Oh and by the way, I didn't say he only learned religion at the knees of muslim teachers. You can learn many things from people, not just religion lol -

I Wear PantsNothing is set in stone for the 2012 election yet. Although I would be incredibly surprised if a ticket with Palin on it put up even as much of a fight as the 2008 ticket.
Because I have views that lie on both sides of the isle and I will not even think about voting for a ticket with Palin on it. At least not again. I think many are likely this way. Two real Republican candidates and I'll at least listen to their positions and consider them for my vote. Palin is on the ticket and I'm voting for whatever 3rd party person there is or Obama. -
GhmothwdwhsoDo us all a favor, and please not vote.
-
I Wear PantsAww, I don't like the same people you do?
-
CenterBHSFanI don't think that Palin blundered anymore than what Obama did, while they were both running. She hasn't even blundered anymore than Obama since the election.
I think it's just an example of people not liking her upon first sight. I'm ok with that, because it happens on a personal level, so it's bound to happen with public figures too.
What I can't stand is when people said "she's stupid because she said this or that, or she stands for this or that". Because that really could be said about any politician, and IS said about any politician. If we didn't vote for politicians because of some little vocal misspeaking, hell, we wouldn't vote for anybody.
Personally, I will not vote again for any of'em again if they're not up to snuff. Just tired of being burned by them and the likes of them. And frankly, I'm disgusted by the dismal people that are going to be put up.
Ohio needs a Christie! -

Manhattan Buckeye"I don't think that Palin blundered anymore than what Obama did,"
This is what grinds my gears. Biden is dumber than Palin. To the extent we vote on veeps (which we shouldn't), Biden is the worst in my lifetime (yes, worse than Quayle). But why vote on that? We haven't had a Presidential death since JFK. To the extent we have unqualified people in succession, we can take care of it. Pelosi is 2nd in line, there is no way Americans would allow her to be President.
