Obama Approval/Disapproval and Approval Rating Discussion

  Interestingly enough, some months ago (not quite a year), I watched a show on either the History channel or the Discovery channel, cant remember. Anyway, the whole show was about the body language of the Presidents, and they went back as far as Roosevelt. In the end, all the "experts" gave Bush the best leverages. They also said that body language conveys the majority of of what somebody is really saying.
  *experts = psychiatrists, profilers, speech coaches and the like

  I don't think showing respect in their cultural customs is in any way a sign of submission. If we had our own sign of respect I would expect other world leaders to extend us the same courtesy when they come here.

  Eers, I know what you're saying. I said "I just wish our PresidentS would present themselves in any stance or posture that might be deemed as lesser-than, subjected, or submissive."
  I never said that Bush or Obama (or any other President) appeared "submissive" for submissives sake.
  At any rate, I don't think there is anything of relevance to all that now.

  Heads of state do not bow to one another, under any circumstance. And certainly a US president does not bow to royalty, since we do not accept that one person is better than another in this country.

  I think the sample is somewhat skewed. President Obama will never do well in this crowd. I don't think that what we have here is even close to the national perception of the programs he has suggested and attempted to put into practice. if it's something associated with the President it is automatically rejected because it's socialistic, or it's communistic, or it's muslim, or it has been introduced by a man who isn't even a citizen, etc. etc. etc. I think a more accurate gauge of how he is doing will begin to emerge as the re-election campaign begins in earnest. There is plenty of time and I think the conservatives want to flood the airways with diversionary tactics designed to make us think about non-issues instead of the mess we are trying to extricate ourselves from. The more confusion and chaos the conservatives can cause with their scare tactics, the better they think their chances are in 2012. I think we should just wait and see what happens in 2012. There is a lot of time between now and then. Wouldn't the conservatives be heartbroken if the country was much better off in 2012 than we had been in 2008?

  It really overshadows the more important events with him in Japan-the new Japanese government. They are young, ambitious, but have no real concrete foreign policy. It is all over place. It is huge because it could change the nature of the U.S.-Japanese relationship, including bases, refueling and possible ties to international organizations.
  
  In addition, in Japan there was talk that he might visit, in the future, Hiroshima and use it to push for a renewed sense of disarmament regarding nuclear weapons, which would be a powerful move. The idea is still in its infancy, but intriguing.

  This administration has quadrupled the debt in what 9 short months. How can anybody look at me with a straight face and say we are better off now then we were in 2008. In less then one year the Obama administration has spent more money then ALL the other president in the history of the country combined. Oh yea but they have saved or created how many jobs?

  I actually knew about Monckton before he was on Beck's show. But it still does not change the question. Or have we come to a place where the Constitution means nothing?

  You know what Bush was a horrible president in his last 4 years. I am the first to agree with you. BUT the blame Bush thing has gotten extremely old. This is on Obama now. And it was the Dems in congress such as Barny Franks and the like that along with ACORN held the banks feet to the fire to make these sub-prime lons that is a huge part of what got us in this position in the first place. So my question to you is, WHEN? When is Obama going to do ANYTHING that is going to make it better. I see no one on the political horizon that gets me excited. But what we have now just makes me sick. Because I see decision after decision that are harmful to America. You tell me which of his programs you see as a plus? This a have to hear. And do me a favor and do it without mentioning Bush if that is possible.

  I thought the hoopla was over Obama showing submissiveness in his actions. To me, and this might just be my crazy thinking, holding hands and kissing someone is somewhat of a submissive act.

  The first article mentions the exchange between the attorney general Eric Holder and Sen Graham. Holder just was not able to give any clear answer to Sen. Graham's. Holder really came off as a fool.
