Obama Approval/Disapproval and Approval Rating Discussion

I'm critical of all the Presidents since Reagan, in one way or another. Obama is just the current in a line.

People you all better wake up as far as what is going on in Washington. Not all that is going can be attributed to Obama, George Bush in his last four years was horrible president, and from what I can see he just handed the baton to Obama and he is running with it. But The Government has done so many things to endanger our freedoms in the past few years it is out right scary. What you might say? Well the take over of the Auto Industry for one, Bail out of the Banks two the shoving down our throats of a Health care bill that if you do not buy health insurance you will be fined or sent to prison? WHAT????????????? Still talking about cap-n-trade that is no more then a carbon tax that will make every single person in Americas energy cost "Necessarily skyrocket!" Obama's words not mine. And why? The entire Global warming thing is based on UNPROVEN SCIENCE yet it will cost 150 million jobs per year here in America. Why hasn't America built a new Nuclear Power plant in over 20 years? People there are things going on here, that are not right. Its time for the American people to wake up and smell the Coffee here. Obama and his czars even want to control what can be put on the internet. Did you know that?

Of the above things they have done and are trying to do, Can anyone tell me where it says these people have the right to do any of these things in the American Constitution?

Oh and just for giggle google Lord Monkton Copenhagen treaty and give that a watch. That may open some eyes.

Obama sucks. HE hasn't done one good thing imo since he has become President. YOu think he could have at least done 1 thing by now.

Personally I think getting off of oil is the single most important thing for my generation. Stop sending money over seas for energy and we'll have alot more to spend at home.

The theory of gravity isn't technically PROVEN SCIENCE either, that's why it's still referred to as a theory instead of a law. Regardless of that it's kind of hard to argue that things are drawn down to Earth and celestial bodies are drawn to larger celestial bodies. Also, if we're to lose 150,000,000 jobs a year in two years time no one in the USA would have a job, granted that may be what you're trying to convey.

I'd like to see a reference for that. While I don't doubt that it's a great draconian plot, I do doubt the validity of such a statement.

Actually Obama is a proponent of Net Neutrality which is currently being passed through the FCC.

Please, Obama does things wrong but lets not cloud what he does right.

Net Neutrality is more important than most people would think.

    See?
  • Belly35
Just so everyone knows my feel about Obama…… Public Servant
Sorry! But in the Belly book of standards and values an individual has to earn the title not be given or vote the title.

All Political Personal and Government Worker/Staff are Public Servant first …..So the title of Public Servant is not degrading but factual data and title.
There obligation is to provide service to the public and serve

actually that is not what I was referring too --this is

The Cybersecurity Act of 2009 (PDF) gives the president the ability to "declare a cybersecurity emergency" and shut down or limit Internet traffic in any "critical" information network "in the interest of national security." The bill does not define a critical information network or a cybersecurity emergency. That definition would be left to the president.

if you want to read it all

Yeah, the Cybersecurity Act is bunk. I thought you were talking about his overall attitude towards the internet.

Although to be honest that's not something that wasn't already partly in place by the terrible pieces of legislation that are the Patriot Act and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

In socialist and communist regimes, do they play high school football? And if so does everyone that ever played get a game ball and a trophy?
  • RoyalNut
Did you know at his beer summit, he made Joe Bidden drink Non Alcoholic beer? See that he is a Dictatorial Marxist!

I see a man shaking another mans hand while observing the proper manners of someones culture. So unless you're seeing something that I'm not I've got to assume you are using this to say that Obama "bows down to China" or something. Which isn't something that started with this administration.
  • believer
^^^First, he's bowing to the Emperor of Japan not China. Second, American presidents should bow to royalty.
  • Automatik
Please elaborate. What is wrong with that picture?

As for the topic. I'm willing to be patient with Obama, but currently I'm not a fan. He has a lot on his plate so I will give hims some time. I do agree with healthcare reform though.....it is definitely needed, although I'm not sure if the current proposal is the way to go.

I'm still glad he won over McCain for the sole reason that Palin was next in line.

Personally, I wish that our PresidentS would not do such things. Other presidents, dignitaries, kings/queens, etc. will or should understand that that is just not who we are.
If they don't, then that is THEIR problem, not ours. After all, we are different. We can show "respect" in other ways.
    But that's just me.

Otherwise, I will not lose too much sleep over this.

    My bad on the country.

Although I still don't see why the picture is "another reason not to like this clueless twit".

That attitude is why much of the world thinks we're all assholes.

It is not below us to observe other peoples cultures.

    Edit: Crap double post. Oops.
  • CenterBHSFan
    Pants,

Why would they think that? Conformity, acceptance and the realization that other countries might not do everything that you do is a two-way street.
It's not about "being below us", it's about BEING us.

    Where was this outrage before?

  • Swamp Fox
It always depends on who is in power and who isn't. It has very little to do with anything substantive.
  • CenterBHSFan
    eers,

I don't know. Maybe the two pics you presented aren't good examples. Because they display the two parties as being equals as far as "stance" goes. In fact, if we want to take it this far, the pic where Bush is holding hands, his hand is on top! ;)
I'm not "outraged" by any of the pictures. I just wish our PresidentS would present themselves in any stance or posture that might be deemed as lesser-than, subjected, or submissive.
And it doesn't matter which one, because I'm sure Obama isn't the first.
