Girevik's "I hate Rush" megathread

    http://thinkprogress.org/2010/04/13/limbaugh-coal-mine/

    Excerpt:

Last Friday, Rush Limbaugh asked why a coal miner union didn’t protect the 29 miners who were killed when Massey Energy’s Upper Big Branch Mine in Montcoal, WV, exploded under unsafe conditions:
Was there no union responsibility for improving mine safety? Where was the union here? Where was the union? The union is generally holding these companies up demanding all kinds of safety. Why were these miners continuing to work in what apparently was an unsafe atmosphere?
He must be on the pills again, it was a nonunion mine...

Per the rules, please elaborate on your opinion shortly.

I will help you out. Rush is an idiot and anyone who actually believes anything he says is under suspicion also.

Well, like I said in my original post:
He must be on the pills again, it was a nonunion mine...
Prowar drug addict who got out of a war because of a piumple on his butt seems to think that the union is at fault for a mine disaster in a mine that they don't have a presence in.

And what do you think about that?

So you are just making a thread to bash Rush but don't really care either way? Is that what you are trying to say?

He's just upset that Rush is riiiight.
  • girevik
I sure do care, I took the time to make the thread.

With people like this the knee jerk reaction is always "it had to be because of 'THEM'" no matter that the story is. Only this time "THEM" was not involved.

That and Rush Limbaugh is a drug addict who dodged the draft because of a pimple on his butt who must have relapsed to think that a union has control of a mine that they have no presence in.

Ok, just wanted to see what your story is, seeing as how you haven't posted on this forum since November, yet you manage in less than 1 hour to make 3 threads attacking 1 party, and a total of 21 posts in 4 hours, some of them having to be deleted or edited due to rules violations. In other words, tread carefully.

So, like the thrice divorced drug addicted leader of the family values party, in your world people who aren't responsible for things actually are. Interesting take on the whole idea of "personal responsibilty" that you claim to be all about

You would think that Rush being a draft-dodging drug addict would endear him just a bit to those on the left...but some on the left can only show empathy and understanding to those with personal issues if they share their own leftist political views.

Same goes for the right, generally.

I honestly could care less what Rush says. He has no credibility in my eyes, just spews his radical point of view each day.

I don't really get up-in-arms about Rush, and think of him as pretty much the same type of person as all the douchebags on the left, Olbermann, Maddow, etc., but you've gotta admit that this is a really funny comment...

I can't really find anything Rush says funny, as he is just a dickhead blowhard who is causing more problems than he solves. People like him are the cause for the divide in this country.

Not denying that. However, if Rush were a liberal, I highly doubt his draft-dodging drug addict background would even be worthy of mention since the left is all about "inclusion and understanding."

If he was a liberal, he would still be called that by the right.
    Left=right in that regard.

I listen to Rush religiously each day. Without his radio program I would be incapable of forming any political opinions on my own. I am a foot soldier in his army for the right in their battle against the regime. I await our leaders orders each day.

He's also a voice for millions of Americans whose opinions are routinely ignored or at least lambasted by the so-called objective mainstream media.

If we had true journalism in this country, guys like Rush would not be quite so popular.

But "divisive" for some on the left means anyone with conservative views needs to be silenced.

I'm having a hard time with this one. The thing is I have been looking high and low and a can't find a single instance when the riiight faulted Bush for hurricane Katrina. Now their battle cry is "this is Obama's Katrina!!!" Must be the drugs talking again...

    http://www.wisepolitics.com/rush-limbaugh-obamas-katrina-comment-1429.html

    Excerpt:
Rush Limbaugh Obama’s Katrina Comment – U.S. President Barack Obama is receiving a number of criticisms for the recent oil spill. Rush Limbaugh recently went on to say that the incident would be remembered as “Obama’s Katrina,” in reference to the breaking of the levees when George Bush was still in office. However, after the statement was made, Media Matters for America also released a statement to counteract what Limbaugh had said on his radio program.

Asking for honesty must be clearly defined as "hate" in the riiight's political handbook.

    LOL

Do you believe that President Bush caused a hurricane?
