Oh sweet 7 pound 8 ounce baby Jesus. Are you kidding? Rush is out there digging for the truth? How?QuakerOats wrote:
You know the nation is in trouble when defenders of the constitution and liberty are labeled radicals.ptown_trojans_1 wrote: I honestly could care less what Rush says. He has no credibility in my eyes, just spews his radical point of view each day.
Rush is the main guy out there digging for the truth and relaying it to miilions. The so-called mainstream media could give a rats ass about the truth, they are too busy running interference for obama and their shared leftist agendas. On top of that the 'main-stream' media is so lacking in journalistic skills and so intellectually inept that it is being relegated to the back seat by those truly seeking a 'watchdog of the government'.
Rush is a defender of liberty? Please!
Dr. Ron Paul is a defender of liberty and I would never categorize him with Rush Limbaugh.
If Rush was truly a defender of the Constitution or of liberty he would be running for political office and actually trying to make a difference. What he really cares about are his ratings and bank account. I can't believe you actually think Rush has any sort of credibility. -

If he had no credibility there would not be over 600 stations carrying his show, nor would 30 million people be listening every day. You may not like his program, but those seeking to gain balance from the state-run media shills are more than content with the truth and context that he brings to media.dwccrew wrote:

Credibility does not equal ratings. Unless you poll everyone of Rush's listeners then you have no idea why they listen to him. Many could be listening to him just to hear his crazy ramblings.QuakerOats wrote:

I'm sure some people do find him credible, but I'm guessing a large portion find him insane and just simply listen to hear what crazy thing he will say today. -

So since Howard Stern has high ratings, he is credible?QuakerOats wrote:

Like I said, Rush is a sensationlist; which is why many (probably most) listen to him. Not to actually get the news of pursuit of liberty. People like Rush don't know what that concept is. -
FootwedgeRush has infiltrated the mindset of solid thinking conservatives and turned them into mindless lemmings. How conservatives can stomach the guy is beyond the pale.
Limbaugh railed that drug offenders should face hard time. All the while he was feeding his own addiction through clandestine operations with the help of his nanny. He constantly plays the patriot card and waves the American flag, inspite of the fact that he dodged his own millitaryy calling.
He espouses conservative values, yet has 3 failed marriages on his resume. He has said more than once on his radio show that the rising national debt "is no big deal". True conservatives would never stink up the public air waves with such utter nonsense.
And as recent as 1 year ago, he ranked on Obama for causing the stick market to crater and bottom out his first 3 nomths in office. True conservatives know better than blaming Democrats for a fall on Wall Street.
But you will have the Quaker Oats of the world that defend this slob to the bitter end.
There are a number of solid conservative analists that understand the core principles of conservative beliefs....and they walk the walk...but Limbaugh ain't one of them. -

I'm equally sure that many people (mostly liberals) who have never actually listened to Limbaugh assume he's insane and a crazy rambler simply because the leftist mainstream media paints him that way. Therefore it must be true.ptown_trojans_1 wrote:Credibility does not equal ratings. Unless you poll everyone of Rush's listeners then you have no idea why they listen to him. IMHO most people who listen to Limbaugh do so because Rush(and others like Rush) has an entertaining way of expressing the feelings and beliefs of millions of Americans whose opinions and values are regularly mocked, belittled and disparaged by the same so-called professional "objective mainstream" media and their pals in Hollyweird.
I rarely get to listen to Limbaugh but when I get the chance to tune-in I find him entertaining, funny and quite frankly dead-on in his "insane ramblings."
Folks like Limbaugh, Hannity, Ingraham, and Beck strike a chord with a lot of people which takes market share from the leftist "press" thereby pissing them off. They serve to provide a balance in available political information that the leftist press simply REFUSES to provide.
As Beck's by-line says, "This is a fusion of entertainment and enlightenment."
I for one think this has been a GOOD thing for America. -

I don't know so do you really think that Anchor's like Diane Sawyer, Brian Williams or Charles Gibson or Anderson Cooper on CNN mock the views of conservative Americans?believer wrote:

Let's just say that I have his imflammatory rhetoric "compartmentalized" and leave it that. Fishy, i know that you don't like my periodic airing of Rush's dirty laundry, but even dirty, filthy, slimey jobs have to be done from time to time. -

Most people who rail against him have never actually taken the time to listen to him over a several week period of time in order to fully understand where he comes from and how he runs his show and makes his points. They simply discredit it because they are mimicking the liberal talking points they pick up on. And the left only rails against him becasue of the threat he poses to them by his ability to not only spread the truth behind the liberal agenda, but his ability to also mobilize the conservative base. And they really can't stand the fact that their attempt at talk radio with Air America failed miserably and is bankrupt, just like their ideas. -
CenterBHSFanNot about Rush, but...
Yesterday morning, after listening to the local morning show, I didn't turn off the radio right away. So, at the beginning of the next show (Glenn Beck) there was a ridiculous and awful song that leads the show in. Anybody know what that song is and why in the world Glenn Beck would play it? LOL -

He used to use Blink182's "All The Small Things." If it's still that one, I love that song!CenterBHSFan wrote: Not about Rush, but...

No, this song was some sort of operatic, slow and monkish sort of song. Said something like "must remember who we are, we shall be (?) the key" ???fish82 wrote:

I literally laughed upon hearing it. Very novice type of thing. -

+1- People don't realize that a lot of the "outlandish" things he says are purely for his own entertainment, because he knows Media Matters and others on the left will twist and distort what he said (and its context) and cause an uproar- which then leads to more and more people tuning in to his show, thus helping his cause.QuakerOats wrote:

My only problem with Rush is he comes across a little arrogant at times, but for a guy who probably reinvented AM radio and the talk show genre I guess he's earned that right. I happen to like what he does- and it's truth and falsehood that divides people, not some AM radio jock.
They're jealous. And they really can't stand the fact that their attempt at talk radio with Air America failed miserably and is bankrupt, just like their ideas.
