Groveport Madison open mats will begin April 13th! (SOLON Trip updates!)
-
cruiser_96I just read the announcement that Ready will open up on Sunday the 11th... We will open up ours two days later.
Last summer we had incredible groups with even better goes. I look forward to the same thing this summer.
Last year we averaged 28 wrestlers a week and had groups from:
Groveport Madison
West Jefferson
Ready
Central Crossing (To include London, H. Bradley, etc.)
H. Bradley
H. Darby
Licking Heights
West
Dublin Coffman
Westerville Central
P. North
Bexley
Whitehall (I think)
Hartley
Canal Winchester
And I'm sure we had m... We DID have more... Heidelburg and Muskingum! West Liberty and Pitt-Johnstown too now that I think about it.
Anywho, grab a group of fellow wrestlers and get to Ready on Sunday, over to the Port on Tuesday and if someone opens up on any other day of the week, go there too!
REMEMBER!!!!!!! Groveport Madison MIDDLE SCHOOL NORTH located on Sedalia Ave. Enter through the back.
See you then. -
cruiser_96ps: Come early and often as we will be planning our trip to Solon for mid to late May.
Oh yeah! Kilbourne and Teays Valley were there as well. -
upset_125If you guys are still planning the trip solon, I want in. Also, will the dvd player be brought again?
-
cruiser_96Of COURSE the DVD player will make the trip again. Do you honestly think I want to listen to you and Lawler's giggling and smooching the whole trip!?
You should see the new additions to our wrestling room! By the time the 13th rolls around, we will be stylin' and profilin' a la Ric Flair! Whoooooooooo!
What was the price last year, $10? Whatever it was last year, that's what it'll be again. -
DuckmeThank goodness, leeeets rassle. make sure you get big Dave reynolds there. hes welcome into the 4 man group
-
Duckmeoh and btw, ill bring my bracket cruiser
-
zambrownCruiser, be sure to count Zach in on the Solon trip again. That was great!
-
cruiser_96Sweet! As always, our open mats are BYOB! (bitter: that's Bring Your Own Brackets lest you get any ideas!)
-
USMCdevil05what time on tuesdays cruiser?
-
bushHey cruiser what are the dates for your jv and varsity tournament for next year
-
cruiser_96USMCdevil05: I'm pretty sure it's a 5pm start time this year. If 34 of the 35 people start showing up week after week at 5:21pm, then we'll be forced to move it to 5:30pm. BUT! for now, the goal is 5pm.
bush: JV... first week of the season and first Saturday of January. Varsity: My AD said we'll keep it the same week so, varsity will be the last Saturday in January. -

so will it be jan 1st or 8th. Trying to get my jv stuff figured out for next yearcruiser_96 wrote: USMCdevil05: I'm pretty sure it's a 5pm start time this year. cruiser_96Although I don't consider January 1st a holiday, apparently I'm in the minority. We might not run it on the 1st.
But, maddog140, if you're reading, I will have a better answer for you when I find out when the Kevin Cleveland Memorial Tournament at Dublin Scioto is. If they run their tournament on the 8th, we'll either run ours on the 1st or won't run it at all (which is like plan z in our minds. We don't have a plan B through Y, but if we did, it'd be before plan Z). If they run the KCM on the 15th, then we'll run ours on the 8th.
Either way, I'll have a MUCH BETTER answer for you tomorrow around 11:13am. -
upset_125cruiser, what smooching are you talking about. The only thing that was funny about the ride, was how much food lawler was eating on the ride there and on the ride back
-
USMCdevil05love it how decisive you are on your time! lol!
-
cruiser_96upset: The food he downed was epic! Not to mention the food he crushed PRIOR to wrestling. It's a wonder we didn't have to roll him from go to go.
Punctuality is one of my weaknesses. I'm working on it. -
DuckmeAnd we found out how monstrous Coach Grant was when he was a 130 pounder. MAN he was BIG! we also discovered lawler can down a 2 liter cola on his own in an hour van ride. Solon was quite the trip id have to say
-
cruiser_96130!? I thought he was 160!?!?!?! He did have a rough go at it, but my guess is that it may have had something to do with some extra "baggage" put on after the weigh-in! There is no way he weighed anywhere NEAR!!! or below 140 for that match.
Founder. (I heart monarchpride!) -
upset_125the scales don't lie
-
DuckmeCruiser, gonna hold a spring open tournament?
-
cruiser_96April 16th or 17th... still not sure if we're going traditional Friday night tournament or bucking the system and going for a Saturday tournament. I'll keep you posted.
-
Duckmethanks STHWEETY

There will be no JV tournament in Janurary as of right now. We can't on the 8th because of the Kevin Cleveland, and we won't do it on the 1st.bush wrote:

As of right now, it's all about Dec. 4th.
I'll let you know if it changes. -
cruiser_96Don't forget to make it a habit to get to our open mats. This is where we announce the Solon trip!!!
I'm thinking of adding a 5 to 10 minute segment to this year's open mat. It might work... It might not. Hope to see you then. -
