Thanks Brotato, IF we get by Franklin Heights tonight I am interested in the heavyweight match up with Dublin Coffman. Hopefully we are ready. If Mifflin gets by St. Charles, was looking forward to the Patterson vs. Herren (UA) match up, but just found out Herren is out for the season. -

Frye is not favored against Vough, but I think he will stand atop the podium come season's end, jmo! Would be a good measuring stick to see how Fluerval matches up.Fatmanroll>Peterson;1834205 wrote:Thanks Brotato, IF we get by Franklin Heights tonight I am interested in the heavyweight match up with Dublin Coffman. Yeah, heard about Herren (speedy recovery), but I think Saito & Agin are the only two Doug really has to contend with, again jmo!! -

Shalvey52_TNDOHats off to Columbus West. Saw them wrestle the past 2 days at the Sally George Invitational and was really impressed. Huge congrats to Eryn Fleurival for taking 1st place at heavyweight. One of the more impressive heavyweights I've seen, moves really well and always stays in good position. Congrats Eryn and the whole West team!
-
Dust_E_RoadsThat's good to hear about Fleurival. Looking forward to seeing how he does at Sectionals. Zanesville's Harris looks to be his only stumbling block there. Could go into Darby with a 2 seed.

knightflyer150West is incredibly deep at heavyweight. They actually have three guys who have won varsity tournaments at HWT this season: Shaw twin #1 won Upper Arlington, Shaw twin #2 won at Jonathan Alder, Flerival won at Sally George. No one can currently make 220, but it is moot, as district qualifier Austin Sable resides there.
It my understanding that next year, with Fleurival and Sable graduating, that the Shaws will lock down 220 and HWT.
Good luck to my guy Coach Cat with these wrestle-offs! Regardless, tremendous job getting those uppers on point. -

Thanks brohito! Unfortunately Dawson lost to Slade Morely from (UA) in the Lee Spitzer finals before Slade dropped to 220. Matthew actually is cutting to 220, and maybe wrestling there this weekend. I want him to round out the season there so his body is used to it for next year. All three of them are great kids, and make me hurt at practice (esp. Eryn), but my chiropractor appreciates the business. *side note, Eryn faced Frye at the state duals, wow, that Frye kid is a specimen, and a great heavyweight. The whole way home my kids were like "Coach, that guy looked like Captain America!"
Eryn Fleurival - Senior - 9-3, 2nd at West Jefferson, 1st at Sally George
Dawson Shaw - Junior - 15-5, 2nd at Lee Spitzer, 3rd at Grandview, 3rd at Jonathan Alder
Matthew Shaw - Junior - 16-2, 3rd at Lee Spitzer, 1st at Jonathan Alder -

Thank you sir! We are excited for the sectional. Last year we lost to the Olentangy Liberty kid to go to districts. Very agile heavyweight, gave Eryn some fits. Hope we get him again somewhere on the bracket for some redemption.Dust_E_Roads;1834825 wrote:That's good to hear about Fleurival. Looking forward to seeing how he does at Sectionals.
