Which means the loser in the semi to artem faces one of the kids who lost in the quarters in the bottom half of the bracket, correct?

Not trying to argue any points here, just trying to understand the rules of the brackets!!

In other words, the relevant matches are...

First round in top half of main bracket: two non-seeded kids get beat up on by artem and our valiant no. 4 (assume he goes here). The losing wrestlers move to the top half of the consolation bracket.

Quarters in bottom half of main bracket: two kids who advanced from R1 by win or by bye, lose their quarters matches (notice I didn't say "match" which would imply this is a tag-team affair). These kids are cross-bracketed to the TOP half of the consolation bracket.

Conso round No. 2: the kids who lost their quarters matches in the bottom half of the main bracket win against the two non-seeded kids who got beat up on by artem and our valiant no. 4.

Conso round No. 3: the kids who lost their quarters matches in the bottom half of the main bracket wrestle.

Semis: valiant no. 4 gets teched by artem

Conso round No. 4: valiant no. 4 seed faces the battle-hardened winner of the conso round no. 3 for the right to wrestle for third and fourth.

Watkins' BankES pronounced "bank-iss" (as corrected in another thread... lol!) wins it! Faces PC's Hogue in finals. I believe bankes beat hogue something like 10-3 when they dualed.

    ----
    1. Bankes (WM)
    2. Hogue (PC)
    3. Coleman (TW)
    4. Farmer (OO)

Not sure who else is who at 126 here..

finally, if you do face artem in the finals here, then i BELIVE that means you're bracketed away from him at Darby.

Seed nominations are up, go through baumspage and a couple links, of course nothing set in stone until tomorrow night

Thanks....can view Watkins, but what about the other 3 sites?

A couple interesting additions/subtractions but probably just on paper at this point...will wait to comment after seed meeting where accurate rosters will be considered. No significant weight changes reflected here that I could see but i'm sure those will be revealed tomorrow night if any...

Watkins 126 Bankes injured his hand in practice a few days ago. It is a serious injury and he will miss the postseason. He is a senior who worked very hard to improve and could of done really well this year. Seems like every time Watkins gets an injured person back they lose another. It does look like Scott, and Evener will try to go.

Thoughts to him and his family.....can't even imagine ending a HS career like that.

dang that's too bad. having such a great year too. obviously a lot of work was put in. hopefully the kid keeps his spirits strong as he graduates and moves on to the next stage of his life.

didn't canal have an excellent wrestler last year whose HS career ended the same way -- practice injury or illness week before sectionals? i can't come up with the name, but i believe he moved here from another country when he was young.

as for this sectional, no bankes waters down an already relatively weak 126 here. who else gets out?

I have two great seniors I wanted to give a shout out to, not to elicit any "poor orange" comments, but to recognize these great kids: Dane Rini (126) and Evan Saloom (152). Both are year-round guys who should have made some post-season noise, having earned numerous "name" wins in their careers. Great guys, both headed to tOSU to get fat and talk to college girls. Much props to a couple of "my guys".

Yes.....you're thinking of Canal Winchester's Joe Boswell. Last year, he had a skin issue and could not wrestle at sectionals......career over, just like that. It was a bummer.....no doubt. Joe was a 2X SQ, and would have had a great chance to reach the podium......earlier in the season he had dominated Jake Danishek (Dayton Christian) to win the Pickerington Tourney. BTW, Joe's family moved to Europe after his Freshman season but returned before his Junior season.

Yep, that's him. Very talented kid and a real bruiser IIRC. Did he try to make a go at it in college?

    I don't believe so.....

Thomas's records are way off, how can these get fixed before tonight? Ackley is 30-8, Coleman has more than 20 wins, Alex Good has a record a winning one at that, um the entire team is missing 8 matches at minimum

The coaches better double check and make sure all the records are correct.....after this weekend they will automatically be updated and flow through district and then state.

id say hogue, coleman, farmer get out then lennerman (HB)/ Jones (RB) battle for the 4th spot
