Oh yeah. D1- they have Freshman Teams. LOL!

LickingValley is (pre) ranked at #1! What are you guys rolling with??? I know you have strong upper weights... who is holding down the bottom of the line-up?

Where are the Panthers this weekend? Or next?
  • 1prouddad
Our Senior Steven Nethers (DQ) is anchoring our lower weights at 120. Sophomores Colton Chesser at 113 and Justin Winland -132. We are going to be relying on a lot of freshman to step up. We do have some good ones though. A couple to watch are Garrett Robinson - 152 and Jaqui Van Meter - 285.

We haven't wrestled since Cambridge on 12/1. The Varsity will be working the LV Jr. High Tourney this weekend. We don't wrestle again until our home Quad on 12/19 with Big Walnut, DeSales, and West Jeff. Then the Licking Co. Tourney at Licking Heights on 12/22. Can't wait to see some wrestling again! Can't handle too many more Honey-Do Saturdays!

Thomas hasn't wrestled since Franklin Heights. We have a dual with Westland on the 20th and then Washington CH duals on the 22nd which should be a good little tourney.

I am going to throw in my votes for Ackley SR Thomas Worthington (120) DQ - tough kid, scrapper! Anyone who seen him wrestle can attest to that.

TW - Coleman JR (126) is a tough wrestler also a returning DQ, and TW - Shackleford SR (182) 3x DQ and I think a State Alternate last year.

TW - Messerall JR DQ (132) and TW - Hooff SO (138) also look really good this year so far.

Where's #113 Greg Brusco (Hayes) on everyones radar? I think he will be there come district time as a contender for state qualifier. He has already certified at #106 as well.
  • Blast82.5
Brusco is very good, and will likely qualify at either weight. Has had trouble getting down, and might be better off at 113 ... healthier and happier ...

Ok lol realized after I posted.

No worries. I thought maybe they switched. Pretty sure the enrollment counts didn't efect this year. I remember being confused when Hartley went from D-II to D-III or the other way around. It's whatever.

Nice job. 152- Trocchio DS will be make a good run at a top spot this year. 220- If Mowery DJ is healthy and able to get down to this class (I think he bulks up for football, and his injury required a lot of sitting around) he's the district champion and a top 5 guy in the state.

FWIW: 106: Gill owns a win over Laney this season. They split at the P.I.T. last Saturday. Tough little sucker! Also, the Delaware Hayes kid (from everything I read and heard) is a contender... Busko???.

It's bruh, and I failed to email myself the file. I'm going to head into the high school prior to practice tomorrow so I can email it to myself.

The quick and short of it is...

I had eleven coaches return a top-10 list to me... Marysville received 11 first place votes. Mt. Vernon, Davidson, and maybe Darby received a bunch of seconds.

I was baffled by a few of the votes, and reassured with a couple of others.

Bottom line... I failed. I'm going to try to make it up to our community tomorrow. No Excuses. M'bad.

It's Brusco. He is the real deal. He should be in the top 4 at 106. I don't think he has wrestled that weight yet but he will.
