lowsingle174I always love seeing the rankings.
-
oldschoollion123Al few of the Westfall kids should be in those rankings and the team should be in the top 10
-
Heretic^^
According to the OHSAA school directory I have at my work desk, Westfall is a SE district team and not a Central district one.
Here's a question for those in the know: With Highland and Hartley moving from DIII to DII this year, will that mean there will be fewer teams in the DIII sectional meets? Or have either a couple teams been bumped from II to III or will there just be a couple more teams that really are in another district getting "moved" to the Central (like I recall Coshocton and someone else doing a few years back)? -

Amanda Clearcreek and Utica both dropped to Div. 3Heretic wrote: ^^

Dad4SportsHeretic....
http://www.cdab.org/sports/wr/default.htm
26 teams in D2....32 (combined) in D3
You are correct about Westfall...SE in wrestling
SE, East and Central will combine for the D3 District Tournament at Heath.... -
6 minutesYoho(Ready) is at 130-135 not 103......maybe 119 in the future but that's as low as he'll get! I also see Rozman(Ready) being in the top 3 at 125 soon
-
goodsportanybody have any thoughts on how D1 125#, 130#, and 135# rankings will go?
-
cruiser_96WHen I a) get some emails from coaches or b) get some results... I'll compile them and send them in. This weekend and the holiday tournaments ALWAYS seem to get good exposure for results.
Hang tight.
In the mean time...
125
1. J. McCombs (M) (if here)
2. A. Boehm (WM)
3. A. Taylor (WK)
130
1. S. Clutter (W)
2. T. Luft (TV)
3. N. Sparks (M)
135
1. R. Languis (DS) (if here)
2. D. Latz (SC)
3. B. Howes (PN)
A couple of things need to pan out for these to be legit. The first, and most obvious, is the fact that these wrestlers must decide to make these weights their home. Certifying early (ie before Christmas or for Christmas tournaments) is an option. But that's only if they are allowed to drop that early.
All that to say, this weekend and next week should clear some things up.
Keep me informed if you would please. -
goodsportcruiser, any thoughts on swavely 119, whitt 125 or 130, kowelski 145 or hughs at 152 at GC?
-
DirtyscrambleIm pretty sure Higgins already wrestled 140 at the Medina duels how is he ranked at 145?
-
Dad4SportsCruiser 96
McCombs wrestled at 125 last weekend (a huge 125 by the way) so he is already there.
Question about how these rankings are supposed to work....is it based on the lowest weight class these guys have wrestled at so far? Or where they are projected to be for the post-season? Or neither....weight they wrestled last week.....or none of the above??
Obviously, it would be next to impossible to keep track of all the weights each guy has competed in. These rankings will only be as good as the quality/quantity of information that the coaches pass on to the poll representatives.....
Boehm is WM (not WK) sure it was just a typo.... -
jaba134Jenkins for canal..at 103 does not wrestle anymore..and Bellomy has wrestled 152/160 all year.
-
Mat SharkBOGUS
not only ranking kids at weight classes they haven't wrestled at,
not only ranking kids at weight classes they won't be eligible to wrestle at,
but now ranking a kid that has never even wrestled a high school match
B-O-G-U-S -
hizzmutherok Mat Shark... we'll be expecting your not so bogus, entirely accurate, rankings each week. Let's see... each week I'm pretty bored and could use some interesting reading by about Monday afternoon... I'll be expecting them then. And let us know where you find the results that you will be using... particularly individual results from duel meet tournaments because I'm still having lots of trouble finding them.

Enlighten us, what the sam h3!! are you talking about. I think I can make a correlation to your b-o-g-u-s point #1 but what / who are you referring to for b-o-g-u-s #2 and #3?Mat Shark wrote: BOGUS

Westie101not that i agree with him, but i think hes bogus #2 is refering to yoho, i doubt that kid can cut to 103.
-
Fab1bRankings are opinions guys, they will settle it on the mat if they meet. Heck the season just started let kids settle into their weight classes and progress. No one will ever agree with someone's rankings, if you don't like them do your own rankings. Its not that big a deal to get all worked up over, rankings don't put you on the podium at state!
-
Power halfMy suggestion is, if you don't like them do your own. These people are ranking to help out they are not paid. So if don't like them do your own.
-
Dad4SportsI'll 2nd, 3rd and 4th these comments......
Everyone is not expected to agree (wouldn't that be boring). If you don't agree with a team/individual ranking, then respectfully explain why. Back up your point of view with results, head-to-head, etc.
Don't just sit here and bitch.......
And has been already stated, nothing's preventing anyone from coming up with their own rankings. To do it right, you'll need to put in hours upon hours of your time.....go for it! -
Thee DogsKing is listed as D3 160 lb for Heath but he is at D2 Lakewood.
-
cruiser_96Dad4sports... Great job for the Indians the last two nights at the Port!!! Little guys up to high school. ...WHat the Feck!?!?!?!
I don't know why I do what I do with Boehm and Taylor. I've done it twice now.
As for individual rankings...it'll be tough but I think I might have a way to do it. But eventually, it will come down to wrestling and figuring it out on the mat.
I thought at first it would be impossible. But, on second thought, national rankers do it all the time. So why can't I. But then again, they have solid rankings and do the rankings AFTER all the results are in. Still subjective though.
I'm sure when I display mine, I'll do so with at least a paragraph as to how and why I rank as I do. Thanks guys. -
monarchprideWOW Olentangy has 11 ranked wrestlers out of 14 weight classes
-
sick switchshouldnt be too much of a suprise when you move down from D 1 to D2 after you have already been a good program in D1 ...not trying to bag on D2 here just stating the facts
-
6 minuteswho does the d2 rankings?
