Alexander is legit and has a real shot at making it out in a loaded weight at Darby.Dad4Sports;1088222 wrote:But Alexander was at Coffman last year....don't think he will sneak up on anyone.
He is nowhere near the level of Forrider and Ryan, but he will seriously give the next tier a run.
He was coming on strong for DC last yr and had a legit shot to make it out last yr until he missed the end of the yr.
I saw this kid last week at our club the Ohio Capitals Club and he looked really good. He has a big motor! -
asianwestie1This past saturday i saw alexanders wrestle and upset mills. But that is city league. I guess they will have a great and fantastic match.
-
CthelitesAt 113 Sparks wins this.
Davis is a strong Sr 113 so he could give anyone at this weight trouble.
I still think he edges Bloss tho.
113 should be fun to watch. -

Not knowing anything about the City League but seeing AA at DC last yr, I wouldnt say that was an upset.asianwestie1;1088261 wrote:This past saturday i saw alexanders wrestle and upset mills. But that is city league. I guess they will have a great and fantastic match.
Again I dont know the CL, so tell me why was Mills that big a favorite? -
Westie101"Mills wasnt exactly a huge favorite, but I think alot of city league followers thought he maybe be a more "complete" wrestler with his mat ability. Alexander proved his worth though.

I'd go with Mowery over Backenstoe. Mowery is one of the strongest 220lbs I've seen this year (I am speaking of his physical strength, not his his technical skills). He is very difficult to score on. In fact, I was told that he has only given up 3 takedowns all year. I don't know if there is any truth to that, but I watched four of his matches this year, and I didn't see him give up a takedown in any of those. Although I'm not sure what the score or how close it was, I believe he and Backenstoe wrestled once this year with Mowery coming out on top. I've been told that his only loss at 220 this season was to King from Scioto, and that was close. I would be surprised if he doesn't win it all here.USMCdevil2005;1087915 wrote:Just some food for thought here.
My Predictions
220
1. Backensoe HD
2. Mowery DJ
3. Rine M
4. Craddock W

iGranbyAt 106, I think Riley beats Rahmani. I'll say the same at the district and state.
At 145, I say Boyd wins it, The big question is over who, Horner or Tate?
At 152, I think Miller Can upset DeLande, I'll call it.
At 182, I'll say its Lybarger vs Pfarr...Pfarr wins a close one. -

SidI was told not to say anything...but, good luck ever seeing those brackets except when you have to pay for them tomorrow. My opinion AGAIN...if you host it you must post it!

nykcShack beat Lybarger easily at the Cardinal. Depends on how Pfarr does against him.

Westland...err...CC still not up either!
Come on man! -
monarchprideAll I can tell you is what our tournament director was told by CDAB which was not to post brackets until after weigh ins, you can call it busch league or whatever. You sign up to host a tournament and let me know how pleasing everyone goes.

Then why do half of the D1 both D2 and half of the D3 sites have them out? Thats 5 out of 8.monarchpride;1088872 wrote:All I can tell you is what our tournament director was told by CDAB which was not to post brackets until after weigh ins, you can call it busch league or whatever. Im not doubting what you were told.
I buy the brackets at the door anyways, I just like to see whats going on.
To the CDAB...get ALL the brackets uploaded on baums! -
SidThe truth is you make us look like we are hiding things from others. Ive already called you out on this. IF YOU/WE HOST YOU MUST POST!
-
monarchprideSorry to disappoint Sid, I am the coach not the director I can't post. The director isn't a coach but someone who is volunteering his time and I would be willing to bet he has never been on this forum. good luck everyone this weekend.
-
SidI proved my point. You and I have alrdy spoken about this. If you like I can go further on your "research" activity. Yes good luck to all. But, you chose to host a sectional. Then it is your responsibility to post the information about it. Dont hide behind the CDAB! Yes, I love my Monarchs but, why make us looks bad?
-
Dad4SportsWell said Sid.....it's not like wrestling is getting bombarded with media attention. IMO, the CDAB should take EVERY opportunity to get this info out there. I'd have written a press release and gotten all the brackets out to the local media. Instead, it looks they are worried about the possibility of losing a few bucks if some one prints the brackets at home.....big deal.

You can clearly look at the seeding in a earlier post. Heck most weight classes have seven kids in them, so it's not out in a bracket yet.Big deal. Obviously Monarch Pride is more concerned about getting his team ready for the post season than brackets

Right with you Dad4, brackets are one of the best ways to PROMOTE a great sport that is one of the hardest to find info on. How about when you go to a particular schools website and the current roster is of kids 2-3 years into college or the only boxscores are when the home team wins the duel or tourny...... again PROMOTE and BRACKETS are one of the best avenues to be talked about along with RESULTS after the fact.Booger Boy;1089091 wrote:

Standoff22Alexander had some very impressive wins last year before his season was cut short. While I do believe he has a legitimate outside shot at states, Forrider is on another level. It most likely won't even be close.
