Here's hoping it's Saturday, January 28, 2012, when you make your trip!!!

    Let me know!
  • Gardens35
Yep, other than the Wrestling and Track&Field Championships, I've not spent much time in Columbus....that's why I was curious about the drive time. My son recently moved to New Albany. I've never been in Groveport, and until a month or so ago had never been in New Albany either. Thought I'd drop by the next "cruiser" and volunteer some time.

I Wear Pants: Please do not reference that situation again. ps: You are forgiven. ...but just this once. :D

What is the breakdown of these conferences? Are all of the teams in the conferences in the same division? Maybe they are... just wondering.

    State.

It's not plural. There's on one State. There are multiple weight classes.

It's not possessive when used in the context of where you are going to. You are going to the Ohio High School State Championship Tournament. The way it's used is as an Adjective to the word tournament.

What in the world do you discuss at this meeting? Is there not criteria established? Dose not the tournament director simply plug in the information based on the criteria?

The "seating" meeting for Westland is at Gahanna lincoln. What building though? I know it isn't in the normal building.

One would think. However, if a returning state placer has had the opportunity to wrestle in the state duals, Medina AND Brecksville (yes, he's that good), along with maybe a Top Gun, his 2nds and 3rds, along with his losses, might be perceived as "justified" or even overlooked when put up against another kid. The best part is when the aforementioned state placer Wrestler A is 26-6 and Wrestler B is 27-4. OBVIOUSLY 27-4 is better than 26-6, however!!!!!!! one of the four losses was to Wrestler A (by fall in the second) and two others were to guys that Wrestler A beat. (And in one case, Wrestler B lossed in OT to a guy Wrestler A majored!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

But if you just want to go on records we can. Because I'll concede the next 3 seeds, end up with the 5th seed and PULVERIZE your kid in the second round!!! YOU GOT THAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!

A-hem. Sorry about that. I was reliving a meeting from a few years back. I... um, must not have let it go. I apologize. But, lowsingle, if you're reading this Bernie Frankl is THE MAN!!!!!!!!!! Come get some!

We have a "seating" meeting Saturday night after the finals. It usually involves a single malt neat.

We have change from a "seating" meeting to either a "booth" or "stool" meeting. Like to head up to a nice little quaint setting with amazing service (which, by the way, if it's my sister-in-law, tip her good!!! Please!?). Anywho, see everyone for the "seating', "booth" and "stool" meeting in preparation for the seeding meeting.

    Yay, wrestling!

OMG! You've had too much coffee!!!!

Why would anyone seed based on record alone? Seeding criteria, especially at the Sectional Tournament, should be much more elaborate and inclusive of all things available that can define the caliber of wrestler participating. Each region should define and agree this criteria long before the Sectional Tournament.

Better yet, there should be statewide criteria defined for unified sectional seedings. After all, it really is all part of one big tournament!
