Well, yesterday was mine. It started out as the best but ended up the worst day of my sports-viewing life even with the win.

How about you?

When Art Modell stole the Browns from Cleveland and moved them to Baltimore. I've hated Baltimore AND Indianapolis since.

Packers lost to Broncos in Super Bowl XXXII. 1998. I was 8 years old, but a die hard Favre and Packer lover. I legit remember crying in my room after the game. Probably one of the first sporting events I took really hard.

Two Michigan football losses really standout...the '15 bobbled punt fiasco against MSU. I honestly think that makes that years OSU/UM game a lot closer because of what would have been on the line. Also the 2016 game against OSU....another one that was so close and at that point it seemed like Michigan would never beat OSU.

Next would probably be the 2016 Indians world series. What a disaster that was, but so close to tasting a championship.

Another was probably JJ Redick's last game at Duke when they played like absolute trash and lost to LSU. I was a big time Redick guy for his 4 years at Duke (he played when I was 12-15 years old and I thought I was going to be the next great white basketball player/shooter). That Duke team was loaded that year and I think was the odds on favorite to win it all, although they would've had to go up against Florida in the final.

Fun times thinking back on my misery lol.

Magic Johnson HIV announcement/retirement….was my favorite player and not only was he not going to play anymore but assumed he was going to die as well.

That was probably the hardest day but things ended up ok

Looking back and knowing what actually happened… Bo Jackson’s injury in the playoff game vs the Bengals. Didn’t know it was the end of Bo as we knew him. Got robbed of a decade more of “you had to see it to believe it” highlights

Arkansas beating Duke in 1994….shot clock expiring and big forward has ball 35 feet from basket and a quick pass and shot to hit a huge 3 late. That sucked. I loved those Duke teams and Nolan Richardson wasn’t my favorite.

AB was on a slower path to crazy but the Burfict hit seemed to accelerate the crazy.

Man, you have had a great sporting life if that was the worst.

  • Mesa
  • Game 7 Cubs (even though it was also one of the best)
  • The Red Sox 3-1, but I guess ultimately game 6 (game 7 was always a loss)
  • KD signing with Warriors
  • LeBron signing with Heat
  • Syracuse knocking off #1 Indiana in S16 (Hulls, Zeller, Oladipo, Watford)

I am too young to have distinct memories of the true Browns heartbreaks, and they havent been good enough to care that much since.

Ohio State lost The Game 9-13. It was the first season I knew Ohio State was the best team in the country. It was the first season I watched as an adult. I was stationed in Orlando and had to deal with the loss by myself. That day crushed me.

I was SO pissed at that NC State over Houston game. Was all about Phi Slama Jama. Was also pissed when Ralph Sampson's Virginia got eliminated one year they were expected to win it. God that was when college hoops was fun.

That game was my first NCAA basketball memory. Sampson was the huge name when I began watching. Sam Bowie, Melvin Turpin, Ewing, Olajuwan

I remember they were talking about Sampson and said he could do 1 arm dumbbell curls with a 90 lb dumbbell and I was like "no f#cking way....dude's arms look like string beans."

That day in 1992 when Sid Bream -- one of the slowest men in baseball and a former Pirate -- crossed home plate for Atlanta to send them to the World Series over the Pirates. Came back from 3-1 to tie the series and had the lead in the bottom of the ninth, but things just went to hell...

Not only was it a bad day (was a freshman in college and quarter-beer day at one of the bars that didn't card was the only thing that got me through that night), but it directly led into their long-ass streak of losing seasons where they didn't sniff the playoffs again until 2013.

Can't think of any one single day that sucked that badly.

2015 playoffs when the Bengals finally seemed like they were going to win a playoff game against Pittsburgh then had an absolute meltdown the final couple minutes and lost.

Burfict, Pacman, Jeremy Hill, all those losers can fuck off.

The 4th and 1 tackle by the freshman  T.J. Turner from Hillsboro Ohio….OSU didn’t recruit him and it came back to haunt them. He starred at MSU and drafted by the Patriots. His rookie year he was on special teams and a backup LB…….about week 8 he gets in big trouble with drugs/alcohol and booted off the team. That same year Brady and Pats won their first SB. He would’ve been a big time player.

Lived in Hillsboro and sold drugs the rest of his life. He passed away from cancer about 5 years ago.

A fan but also a coach….I was the varsity assistant and we had a 2-0 lead in the regional finals with 1 out in the 6th against the top pitcher in the state and our LF hadn’t had a ball hit to her in a game the entire tournament and I yelled out to remind her to be ready, stay ready. Lazy fly ball and she drifted towards it and went off end of her glove. Next girl grounded out easily.

We lose 3-2…..that team rolled in state semis and easily won state championship. Was my daughter’s senior year and I’ll never live it down. It sucked bad and still gets me 10 years later.
