Zero excitement over this. I’d bet it crashes and burns again.

I agree with this. But I do like superman's idea.

Does it still look like the Crew are heading to Austin? Would a team do well in Columbus playing at MAPFRE Stadium? I'd drive up from Cincinnati for a game to check it out in person.

It is going to be ten weeks from end of January to March.  I'd bet the locations are more southern:

Orlando, Memphis, Birmingham, San Antonio, San Diego type

You could be right. They did have two cold weather teams the last time around, in Chicago and New Jersey.

He want a it at 2 hours.

Possible 4 20 minute running clock qtrs.  80 minutes.  15 min half makes it to 95.   The halfway point of each qtrs a 4 min tv timeout brings it to 111.  4 minute between qtrs is 119 of the 120.

Clock stops only at injuries in game.  Even after tds the clocks runs and a team needs to KO in the normal play clock.

2 hours is very optimistic and tbis model would lead to 2 hrs and maybe 15 minutes but still an hour less.

No EPs so going for 2.  Wpildmthey have reolay?  I'd say yes.

Still think games would be sponsored and more uniform and on field advertising

I saw a good idea mentioned somewhere a few days ago. The gist was, place the XFL teams in/near big college towns and attempt to fill the teams as much as possible with school alumni that didn't make or have fizzled out of the NFL. You could potentially have fans invested from the start as they cheer for past players from their favorite college team(s).

LOL, wow. I saw an expanded version of that idea elsewhere, but yeah, can't believe I missed that on here.

I don't understand his goal of making it more family-friendly and easier to understand. Is there really a large market of people who don't watch the NFL because it's too difficult to follow and inappropriate?

RE: easier to understand, maybe they will go back to the days when a catch was a catch.

I'd like to see them experiment with sensors in the football, for things like spotting the ball and touchdowns.
