After a rain shortened 10 game home stand, in which the Tribe went 6-2, they now have another day off (Monday) before taking on Minnesota, as the visiting team, for a two game series in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  And it's going to be cold hot (85 degrees, with chances of rain).    :-)

Match ups look like this:

Game 1: Kluber (1-1, 1.57) vs. Odorizzi (1-0, 2.20) and starts at 7:10

Game 2: Tomlin (0-1, 9.00) vs. Berrios (2-1, 2.18) and also starts at 7:10

Go Tribe.

I bet it’s not cold. Maybe not the warmest temps of the year, but close. And definitely the furthest south we will play.

Oh shit, I completely forgot about that and thanks for nicely pointing out where the games are being played!

Go Tribe.

Just saw on the Rizzo show Tony saying it's going to be cold in Minneapolis. You can forgive BRF for forgetting where the games were going to be played when starting a new thread, but for the Rizzo show to do the same thing?  SMH

It has been great to see how the Tribe players, and MLB, are interacting and doing good things down in Puerto Rico.  Hearing Carlos Baerga talk on the radio with Hammy and Rosie about the current team and how he was in Puerto Rico during the storm and what they went through and how much everyone appreciates the help is postable on the "Feelz" thread.

Francisco Lindor has done a lot to help out and then, he smacks a 2 out 2 run homer to put the Tribe up 2-0.  In front of his homies.  Fantastic.

I once saw a game at that stadium in January of 1977.  There was a player who caught my attention, while smacking the ball all over the place.

He went on to a great career with Baltimore and then provided us Tribe fans with some great moments....................Eddie Murray.

In 2012, I revisited San Juan and saw that wall that has hand painted pictures of the Puerto Rican stars.  Pretty cool.

And as I type this, Ramirez and Brantley hit back to back homers, and the crowd is loving it.

And.........it appears as though we have a pitching change for tomorrow's game: Carrasco will be taking the mound.

4-0 Tribe in the 6th.

Go Tribe.

I heard more than once tonight that the crowd was rooting for the Indians tonight and then tomorrow, will be for the Twins because of Berrios.

Go Tribe.

I was fortunate enough to be in Cuba in 2012 and we went to a few baseball games (2 and watched a practice). I am sure I saw a bunch of future MLB players, but he just missed Yoenis by a year.

I recall seeing these 4 specifically:

  1. Yasmany Tomas
  2. José Abreu
  3. Yandy Díaz (yep...our very own)
  4. Yuli Gurriel

Then there was some pitcher throwing absolute gas. No clue who he was, but I’d be shocked if he wasn’t in the majors somewhere...or going to be in the future. Yasiel Puig was on the island still, and everyone was talking about him. But he had too many failed attempts to leave at that point, so he was whatever the Cuban version of suspended/kicked out of the league is lol.

Which there are already conspiracy theorists out there claiming the Twins pitcher grooved it (ala Cal Ripken in the All-Star game) to Lindor so he'd hit a HR for the hometown crowd. Considering the Twins & Tribe were neck & neck for the division last year, this makes absolutely no sense.

What a moment for Lindor. Nearly had 3 last night. That was really cool to watch.

Whatever source you listen to and/or read is stupid. You facilitate their stupidity by tuning in.

The Indians won the division by 17 games last year, how were they neck and neck?
