Both Tito and Perez threw Santana under the bus. Tito said "that's Brad's job to backup home plate on that because he's left handed" (dafuk?) and Perez said "I was expecting him to throw home, to be honest." Santana puts them in a position to win and gets that shit.

I never pitched at the MLB level but it's common jackass sense that you cover 1st there. I work with a guy who was a pitcher in the Braves minor league system and he said the same. Besides, it you're Hand, I 'm thinking you'd want to cover 1st base and try to end the game with a DP versus taking your chances on facing another batter with the way he's been sucking ass.

And speaking of "Perez", Brad Hand has pretty much turned into Chris Perez.

So I have watched the replay over and over. What Gardens says here is right. We walked the Polar bear to set up a double play. So that should be in everybody’s head....hard grounder......second to first. Ball hit to the first baseman.....pitcher get your ass over to first. Not home.....covering home is not even a consideration here!  

It just all sucks and I’m pissed about it.

Allen gets out after should have been walked in ball 4. Baseball needs a computerized strike zone. Stupid
