Tomlin on in relief and he wait for it.......wait for it.........gives up a solo HR and the Twins lead 7-4. Tomlin has given up 18 Hr's this year.

I’m worried, as I mentioned after his first 2-3 starts of the year, that his strikeouts are WAY down. Even when he got blasted a few times last year, he was striking out 8-9 guys an outing. This year, no. That says his movement and stuff is really not there.

As long as he is healthy, I think he can figure it out though.

Ironically, Rick Manning alluded to this last night--he mentioned his velocity was off on his fastball and his curve just didn't have it's "bite", and he wondered if there was a physical issue that Cookie might be trying to work through.

Wouldn’t be surprised. Velocity and Ks are the first things I look for when a pitcher struggles abnormally. And it usually coincides with a non-serious injury (knock on wood) that they can play through, but is hurting their ability to be effective.

I noticed in start 1 or 2 for Tomlin his velocity was way down (as if that is even possible lol). Maybe not injury related, and he is just done in general,  it I’m not shocked he is worse than ever. An 86mph Fastball isn’t gonna cut it.

You guys have a big prospect you can give to Brewers for Josh Hader? Problem Brews are good and in it....but he would be the #1 piece to get for your bullpen

34 1/3 innings....69 strikeouts! Only 10 hits

6.9/1 strikeout to hit ratio lol

I’d give up anyone, but he won’t be available.

Read yesterday, could maybe get Machado for Bieber and not Mejia, because Os have a solid catching prospect already.

Well, here we go.

Tribe got their first score on a double steal with Allen taking home.

Now to the 4th, after Bauer gives up 3 in the 3rd.

That would be so fun offensively and defensively....but gotta have 3 great arms for playoff bullpen

Bauer gave up 2 mistakes and has been the story of the game.

As Kipnis just blows a double play...

They will get bullpen help. It just won’t be Hader. Orioles also have a few arms I’d expect to be dealt. Maybe could grab 1 along with Machado (or Adam Jones).

Just why would the team with the best record in the NL want to give up the most dynamic reliever in the sport at the time? And give up a current major league stud for a prospect when they're currently competing? With Cleveland's desperation for one, I'd think their asking price would be stupid astronomical just to see how desperate they are. Unless they lose 20 straight games and/or Hader falls off the map.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd love him out of the NL Central, lol, but that just doesn't seem remotely realistic as far as options go. They should be trying to do better than retreads like George "a run per outing this year" Kontos as upgrades, but I can't see a contender willingly taking a step back in the present for a potentially quality future player.

Milwaukee is all in....but they are also the Brewers. I’ve already stated guys like Jared Hughes and David Hernandez to nicely clean up the bullpen, but Indians are a WS contender and they need their “Andrew Miller”.....it’s not crazy to think the Brewers go 18-22 over the next 2 months before the deadline and Cubs get hot a go 27-13.....trending the wrong way Milwaukee would listen.

Regardless I agree right now he’s basically u touchable but guys like Matt Belisle are going to lead to certain heartbreak.

EE takes matters into his own hands with two homers and 4 RBI.

His first was a solo shot in the 5th to break up a perfect game.

Still down 3-1, in the next inning he hits a 3 run bomb to hopefully give us the lead for good. (Ha ha!)

Zimmer made a terrific catch, also.

Oh, BTW, the acquisition of Oliver Perez makes it the 15th reliever of the season.  The Indians 8.01 era by the bullpen in May was a franchise record for any month.

Oh God.

Back to back homers and 5-4 in the 7th.

Clevinger on his last pitch to tie and then Olson the go ahead.

Not sure if Tito is trying to make a point, but he’s had four different pitchers pitch to four consecutive hitters in this inning...I think he’s at the end of his rope with this bullpen.
