WTF Santana.
WTF Santana.
5 yrs ago that would've been a roid rage charging of the mound.
Would like to see Greg Allen in tomorrow's line up.
And Pinch Hitting today is just fine too!

Speaking of........nice AB Greg!
Roberto Perez......will he groundout to 2nd, short, or whiff?
Short it is.
Hand makes it "interesting" and the Tribe wins!
Bauer doesn't get the win BUT goes 7 innings, giving up one hit, one walk and 9 K's.
Naquin ends K streak with a fair pop out to the catcher.

That has to equal as little contact of the ball as possible. But hey, baby steps!

I just looked up the Spring Training stats and Allen hit .354 (17 for 48) to Naquin's .241 (14 for 58).
BTW, HanRam got on base all 4 at bats today: HR, single and 2 walks.
Bauer Outage
Go Tribe
Party at Kent Hrbek's
Naquin is reminding me ( and not in a good way), of Richie Scheinblum, who was a highly touted rookie when he broke in for the Tribe back in the mid 60’s..... he went 0 for April .
Allen and Plawecki starting today, with Bauers hitting in the 3-hole.

I remember. He is 76 years old now.

I don’t think he’s even made contact this year yet has he?
what happened to the dude who hit .296 and 14 homers a few years ago?
making Pineda look like an ace.

The league learned that if you throw it more the 2 inches off the bottom of the strike zone he has no shot. Somehow, Naquin hasn’t bothered to adjust. Probably because his current approach land him in the 3-hole lol.
5-0 in the fifth
Looks like this one is over as the Tribe only has two hits (both by Santana ......and one of them he was picked off trying to return to first after making a turn to second when the ball squirted past the first baseman).
Tribe gets 6 hits (4 by Santana including bases loaded base clearing double). The other two were from JRam and Bauers getting their first hits of the year.
39 K's in 3 games and very consistent: 13-13-13
Somebody else get the home opener thread going.
12 hits in 3 games. Santana has 5 of them. Woof
I can’t say that I am impressed with the centerfield play of Leonys Martin. I’m pretty sure I’d rather have Greg Allen out there.

I’m thoroughly confused. I figured Allen & Martin would have a spot (like today) with Bauers. I’ve been ripping Naquin, but I legit did not think he would be in this roster unless there were injuries...and he is hitting 3rd when he plays.

Agreed. Allen has proven himself out there, but CF was just automatically handed to Martin.
