With this wind late in the day these guys towards the top are basically trying to get through a tough British Open round

Smith with a triple bogey. Scheffler's to lose now.

Rory goes bunker to bunker and then sinks it for a birdie on 18 for a 64 on the round. He's in the clubhouse in 2nd, 3 strokes behind Scheffler.

Lol, and Morikawa sinks his shot out of the bunker on 18.

Scheffler is just on another planet at the moment. How many wins do you think he’ll rack up this year?

This pace is historically rare. Everyone is so good and every tournament you have to beat everyone. Be cool if he won a couple more but nothing close to definite.

But anyone can see the immeasurable importance of chipping and putting….and Scheffler is nails.

Flash in the pan,  he may get 2 years of great play and will end up being a decent player that shows up every once in awhile

You’re the guy everyone prays won’t show at the neighborhood cookout.

Lol, Scheffler has back to back top-20s in Masters and a win. World number 1. Semi prodigy the way Thomas was. Yet, he may be heard from here or there again, lol. Can’t make this shit up. Talk about not following the game.

Yep just like Thomas,  never good enough to hold court on the whole tour for more then one or two seasons.  As soon as Scheffler gets done with the hot roll,  he is maybe 20th on tour by 2024

So you think Thomas is done winning? What does this even mean? Is Brooks a flash in the pan, he’s like 16th in OWGR. Bryson 19 and Spieth 20. They all must be flash in the pans lol.

Look, winning is hard AF on tour. I would be more surprised if he won again this year. But that doesn’t mean he is a flash in the pan. He will be around for years to come and contending.

Scheffler has played in 6 PGA tournaments since mid February….he’s won 4 of the 6

I’ve been following PGA pretty good since the mid 80’s….that’s about as rare as rare can be

And all 4 have been legit fields. Phoenix this year was loaded compared to normal. Then Bay Hill, WGC, Masters.

I do remember Mark O’Meara winning Pebble, another tournament, Masters and  the Open in 1997.

Molinari also won 3 out of 5 with a runner up and top-10 or something. But one was a euro win (but a big one).

But Scheffler is still the stuff of Tiger, as far as I can recall.

I mean he’s won 4 out of 6 PGA events. I mean I’m not crazy to say none of us will ever see that again

But I am pretty sure I’ve seen this before a few times already, and I’m 34. David Duval won…and then again…and again. And then again early the next season. I’d confidently it was at least 4/6.

No way Tiger didn’t do it at least once.

Vijay would almost be a mathematical impossibility to not have done this or better in his ridiculous 2004.

Rory in 14 and 19 had to come close if not doing it.

Scheffler is on a tear, but this isn’t some out of world thing we are watching. Although, the 4 fields he has beaten probably rival the best stretch ever (with acknowledgment to the WGC being match play.)
