Seeing rumblings that the Reds have traded for Sonny Gray.

Well, other fans will mostly have heard of our starting pitchers. We’ll see how all of these guys handle this tough division and small GABP

Be nice to see an 80 win team

Reds have Sonny Gray

Now when you face the Reds, you’ll have heard of our starters. I wish it were 2015 for the 3 starters but the Reds are better.

Excellent. Sounds like they’ve got him signed to an extension, too.

The other player they got with him seems decent too.

Gray extension with #Reds complete, per source. Three years, $30.5M, covering 2020-22. Club option for ‘23 at $12M. All salaries can grow based on numerous escalators. Plus $500K of innings pitched bonuses each year.

LOVE this trade now.

2015 Sonny Gray 3rd in CY voting

2016 Tanner Roark 10th in CY voting

2017 Alex Wood 9th in CY voting

Could be big...at worst seeing less of the bullpen.

They got him to sign an extension? Hell yes. All I kept reading was how this was just a loaner basically.

Assuming Castillo and descalfani will be the other two starters? That ain’t bad. Just sucks the Central is so loaded.

Reds have emerged as one of the favorites to land Realmuto from the marlins. Thought he was heading to Dodgers, but now it’s believed to be San Diego or Cinci. Braves in there too

We shall see

edit: typed la, not cinci. And added braves.

Watching the Johnny Bench Story on MLB Network and seeing all the Puig stuff on Twitter. I’m getting pretty pumped for the season.

Puig might be a rock star. Reds fans gonna flock to him. I can’t wait.

Puig was in Cincy today for a city/ballpark tour. He seems to be embracing the move quite well.

Cool. He certainly won't be Billy in the field, but he has the athleticism to be well above average, and paired with his ability to hit he could end up being one of the top CFs in the league.

ESPN article predicting the all stars this year, they have Realmuto an all star in Cincinnati. Starting to think that’s going to happen, but don’t want to get my hopes up.

Was he the only one they predicted for the Reds? I'm assuming Suarez has another All-Star season.

Only other one was Puig. Unless I missed someone.

JTR to the Phillies for what looks to be a haul. Glad the Reds stood pat with their offer and didn't give up one of the big 3.
