Cooper Flagg, consensus #1 2024 recruit, commits to Duke.

Huge get for Scheyer.

What’s up with the exhibition games that are actually decent matchups? Kansas vs Illinois last night. That was an exhibition that didn’t count right? Why not just wait a couple weeks and play it as a fun out of conference game?

I understand the Duke vs North Carolina Naval academy junior college games (flippant example) where one team wins by 100 but there’s been some actually good matchups. Purdue vs Arkansas is another.

Hell, Ohio State played Dayton instead of their usual D-II sort of opponent. Wasn't expecting them to play a D-I school, let alone an in-state one that has a fairly recent postseason win over them. I know in that case, the game was designed to raise funds for one of those mental health awareness charities, so maybe that also was part of the reasoning for the others. Either that or coaches are starting to think that since they tend to have a fair number of games against small-conference teams in the non-conference part of their schedule, they might as well actually work up a sweat during their exhibition.

Duke, down three with five seconds left and need to inbound and go length of the court. They instead try the full court pass to a guy triple teamed which of course is a turnover, game over.

Also, maybe hot take, but teams have too many timeouts in these games. Four time outs taken in the final 30 seconds. I’m all for speeding this shit up and taking away a couple time outs from each team.

Agree completely….the end of every college game is ridiculous and the end of NBA games are just stupid.

I’m sure they have the same issues. Too many timeouts, reviews, etc. Or my personal favorite when you think the game is over but they hold everything up to stare at the monitor and determine there’s 0.3 left and it needs to be played even though the one team is down four.

But that Duke - Arizona ending was just painful. I don’t notice it as much with the NBA.

The Pitt/UNC game last year was 20 minutes for the last 55 seconds and 15 min was the last 10 seconds

Was looking forward to Dickinson - Edey matchup tomorrow but it wasn’t meant to be. Marquette looked great tonight. They’ll take on #2 Purdue tomorrow. Wonder if a team has ever beat #1/#2 on consecutive days?

Edey averaged 25 points and 13 rebounds against #11 Gonzaga, #7 Tennessee, and #4 Marquette.

Florida looks pretty decent to me. Around a top 20-25 team….we’ll see how they do vs Baylor

ACC/SEC Challenge….I watched the Missouri/Pitt game on ESPNU. Pitt played awful, couldn’t hit anything and Missouri length was a problem.

Meanwhile my son was in the front row jumping up and down waving a plastic shovel like an embicile when Missouri was shooting free throws 🤦🏻‍♂️

Tennessee/UNC game was fun to watch.  Dayton/SMU had a down to the wire ending.

She’s been obnoxious since Iowa took down the team they couldn’t beat and the one LSU guard went off.

I can’t stand her

Nothing on so I settled on Iowa St hosting Iowa (women’s) and Iowa St on an 8-0 run and have taken a lead in the 4th qtr

That place is ROCKIN! Insane atmosphere. Iowa is all Clark…everyone else sucks.

Caitlyn Clark effect is insane. Hope her NIL is huge.

I was iffy on Clark until I listened to her talk.  No I'm all in.  She is very well spoken.  My 13-year old daughter noted, "She talks just like a coach."

TCU robbed at Kansas

Up 2, KU throws terrible pass, TCU steals it and dribbling down court…play stopped and called a flagrant on TCU….all with 1 min left and TCU going to dribble it down under 30

KU makes both ft and gets possession also and scored

KU wins….move them to #1

It’s gotta be badass to be some Pac12 nobody but still playing a game with Lebron sitting courtside

Tulane absolutely robbed…made late rally and took lead over Florida Atlantic….FAU shoots long shot at buzzer and ref calls a 3 shot foul on perfect defense. Terrible.

Fans ready to flood the court snd all had to run back to their seats.

Pitt has been a big struggle bus in ACC games just won at Duke

Last 31 seconds took 18 minutes as the refs reviewed an in bounds play given to Pitt….after 6 actual minutes of review where during said review after 4 minutes they went and told Scheyer it was going to be Pitt’s ball and then reds went back 2 more minutes and gave ball to Duke. Then moron Duke player up 4 fouls a 3 point shot with 4.8 seconds

Hinson for Duke was 7 for 7 from 3 and after win jumped up on table in front of Duke students and yelled stuff…numerous Duke students on camera just flipping him off everywhere lol
