How stupid are people?  Throwing away Nike shoes because they have Kaep on an anniversary ad?

I've always heard that destroying things you've already spent money on is a great way to teach a company a lesson. Very smart.

Why do people care about this guy? He's nothing but the Al Bundy of this generation - used to play football, now he sells shoes.

Stupid. Fortunately I don't like Nike (or Crapernick...he's had that nickname because of his shitty play on the field, not his political beliefs) so this isn't an issue but destroying something that is likely very expensive is dumb.

The comments on the Nike stock page on Yahoo Finance are pretty priceless.

Well played by Nike.  They were paying Kaepernick all along and allowed TDS to marinate a bit.  This was perfect timing with the kneeling fiasco last year and heading into this year.   As I said in the other thread though, LOL at anyone who legitmately thinks Kaepernick sacrificed anything.

Another reason why Nike is winning.  A lot of memes playing off the ad campaign.

Their media impact today was supposedly like $50M worth. They're laughing all the way to the bank, stock price being down 2% doesn't matter. I think Kaepernick is a dipshit and sacrificed nothing, but kudos to Nike for playing it this way.

And people burning shit is stupid

It’s killing my FB viewing. Everyone so fucking hurt.

I can’t fathom buying sports gear and worrying about the companies views or decisions. Do the shoes look good? Fair price? Fit/comfort? That’s all.

I'm sure that $250 million, 15 year deal will get thrown out the window because of a few dumbass shoe burners. LOL

I just really love how everything is being politicized. It's not exhausting at all.

Yeah, it was the biggest university/apparel deal signed at the time. I believe it's been surpassed though, UA or Adidas.

I was about to say,  I would kneel to the anthem the rest of my life if it meant I was getting $250M.

Chris Benoit, WWE wrestler.   He went on a roid rage, where he killed his wife, kid, and them himself.

I almost can't stand getting on Facebook or Twitter any more.  Justin nailed it, it's completely exhausting.

America is the only country in the world where the freedom of speech gets you crucified by the freedom of speech.  People just need to STFU and mind their own business, regardless of what they believe.  We've put so much energy into being divided, imagine what we could do if we put that into standing united.  Mercy...
