Carl Yastremzki is still alive isn't he? If he is alive he had to be inducted before 1990.

5. Yaz 1989

His longevity numbers are absolutely incredible

3300+ career games, behind only Pete…same for plate appearances, 3rd in AB behind Rose/Aaron, 6th in BB, 9th in hits, 10th in total bases, 10th in doubles…top 20 in runs and rbi

I think I'm tapped out, can't think of any other old timers still alive, especially with Mays recent passing.

There are several in the 84-86 year old range but most had to wait for HOF. You’ll kick yourself for 1 of the 2 remaining answers

He passed away in 2020…but I also thought Bob Gibson was still alive and he died in 2020 as well.

Kaline inducted in 1980

Guys like Tony Oliva, Orlando Cepeda, Fergie Jenkins and Jim Kaat could’ve been pre-1990 but weren’t 1st ballot guys

Those early in Dominican guys often elude me too. I can never remember Cepeda, Aparicio and often forget Marichal
