didnt they have ties back then? So 9 ties?
I'll go with either BAD MATH or MISPRINT.

Then it should be 71-81-9
Per baseball reference of course
My guess was 9 games called for darkness or weather and weren’t official for standings but maybe stats counted
Baseball Almanac says 146 games for Nap in 1910

Roaming through the game log shows 9 ties. Did they count stats for ties back then, but they didnt go towards the record??

That has to be it….I tagged Jeremy Frank in a tweet for his thoughts.
Ties/incomplete games….I think we have it
Question #7
Since 1985 1 catcher has led the league in RBI
Name him
Ill go Pudge as "obvious" and McCann as "surpise" guesses.
Gary Carter sneak in? Hes probably the reason for 1985 cutoff lol

Wrongs
Posada? Victor?
Piazza?

I like this answer
All solid guesses….all no
Carter is the cutoff reason
Javy Lopez? If its not him, I'm out for this one. I dont know much about the catchers of the 80s or early 90s. Interest started in 1994 going to The Jake.

Nope
Is it in the NL? If so, I think I know.

Wow. Weak year. No wonder MLB didn’t care about steroids in the coming years!

I recall Sheffield made a big push for triple crown that went decently into Sept and he was like 34/100/.308
Question #8
