I will be using this thread to post to post scores, rankings, coaches polls, & other important news for the remainder of the 2017-2018 season. This will not be limited to OHSAA teams, I will include the many club programs in the rankings. Updates on scores/rankings/coaches polls will be posted every week when applicable. News will be posted when ever a new story comes up.

As there isn't a big high school following on here, feel free to mention to site to anyone you think would get value from it.

Yep... That's what happens when there are 80+ teams in a Division I only sport. I personally think the sport is now big enough in the state that it is time to have two divisions.

Would water it down obviously but also probably improve their numbers in # of schools with teams.

As a player, I would not have a problem with it being watered down. Every year it is the same 4 teams that make it to the semi-finals, and adding a second division to the sport would allow for a better mix of teams in the final 4 or last 8.

Are the same 4 schools big schools that would be D1 regardless? Guessing almost every school that has hockey is D1 in most other sports

Actually no.... My school is only D1 in Hockey, Golf, & Bowling. All three of those sports only have a D1.

Congratulations to Cleveland's Saint Ignatius; the 2017-2018 OHSAA Hockey Champions!

It was a very tight game against Toledo Saint Francis de Sales. Ignatius scored almost immediately after the start of the second overtime.
