All-time favorite Indian. Had injuries not messed up his career I think he would've been a legit HOFer.

50 HR and 50 doubles in the strike shortened 1995 season....that’s insane

Can happily say I saw a bunch of those in person. In fact, that may have been the last season I saw a game in person.

And he got hosed for the MVP by Mo Vaughn who, ironically, now owns a trucking company in Cleveland and does most of the trucking for the local sports teams.

Love me some Dave Logan. One of only three players to be drafted by the NBA, MLB & NFL.

I know Dave Winfield.  Thought Charlie Ward, but he was never drafted in the NFL.

All of the times he played in Cleveland, he ended up marrying a Cleveland girl (I believe) and settling down here.

I remembered young SK being an average player with incredible highlights then he kept improving to all-star status...I’m not disagreeing with you but maybe just misremembering.

Kemp was probably the best high schooler in his class, and while didn’t technically go straight to Pros, he never played college. He struggled his first year, but was pretty damn good the rest of the time.

Bob Knight has called him one of the best 5 players to ever be produced by the state of Indiana.

...I92, I think you’re misremembering lol.

I wish I had been able to see him play. I was 4 when he retired from football in 1990 and obviously don’t remember much of what I saw of him on the diamond.

From his first career hit to returning on a hip replacement....he just did stuff you had never seen before and really not since on many.

They don’t even seem believable. His throws, Lord.

YouTube of first hit....off of a 321 game winner, near HR foul oppo, foul HR to LF the camera couldn’t even come close to following and then hit a two hopper to second that looks like a bang bang play with the timing of the game...hope lol. Good commentary too
