Alright, this is kind of embarrassing but also too awesome not to share.

So hit 4 deuces, and then minutes later the natural royal.

Hmmmm. I've had a few big ones.

Blackjack letting it ride 6 hands in a row. $25 -> $50 -> $100 -> $200 -> PUSH -> $400 -> BJ (2/1) $1000. This paid for approximately a single dinner for 5 at Momofuku in The Cosmo and it was so worth it. Still the best food I've ever had.

Danny Willett $10 at 150 for the Masters. Brooks Koepka this year $50 at 50-1. Tony Finau this year $50 at 35-1.

My buddy hit same number in roulette (26) 3x in a row. Back to back, walked away, and again when we left. $10, $20, $100. And the table ALL played with him on the last one. I'm pretty sure they thought he cheated, pit bosses stared him down for a good long while. I think on the last hit there was well over $5k on 26. They had to bring in the GM of the casino to verify it all and give payouts. Some rich dude walked away with what had to have been over $18k and bought us drinks the rest of the night lol. He threw $500 on it.

I definitely am missing a few, but cant think of them right now. We've done the BJ let it ride to success a few times, but usually stop after 4 rounds.

Probably less than $100. I can’t think of anything memorable.

12k. Have hit several 10k jackpots and have probably hit well over 100 hand pay ($1200+) jackpots since we started gambling.

Starting at $15 a hand ended up over 6k in a BJ session.

Only won 2k bc I was afraid to change how I was betting but I went on a 72 roll streak in craps. Started with only 3 people at the table ended up with the table being 4 deep all around. One guy who started with me was up easily 100 grand and he tipped me $500 for the roll. The funny thing was it was a $3 minimum table. Casino took my picture and added me to their wall of fame for craps players.

Most of my good ones aren’t anything to write home about, and happened drunk in college

Came out $500 up the first time I ever played blackjack down in New Orleans. I was $625 up and just put the $125 down and said I’m either leaving here up 500 or 750. I lost, walked back to the hotel, and slept through/missed the entire conference the next day.

Did $400 followed by $200 on a slot machine at Tri-State in WV and played the rest of the night on the little bit I had made on some horse races. $600 profit in college was huge.

Wife hit for over $1000 on a slot at Northfield back in 2019. We had just found out we were having twins again and the ultrasound tech told her she should play the lottery since the odds of a second set of twins is insane. So we did, and we won. Fucking ultrasound bill was in the mail Monday for $1100, of course

Not a big gambler, most fun I ever had was playing blackjack on a $2 table in downtown Vegas. I'd guess a couple hundred on a $25 table is my biggest win.

In fall 2019 Walmart announced they were going to stop carrying pistol ammo.  I bought out 4 different Walmarts at $7.87 a box.  Bought around 2500 rounds of 9mm.

Biggest poker session was $2500.  Obvious young online player trying to buy every hand and way overbetting.  I had to wait a good bit for a decent hand, so I raised like $15 pre-flop (it was 2/5 no limit) and then he came over the top with his usual $40 raise.  I flop a pair of A's and J's, and figure he's got like A's and a 7.  I bet $100, and he looks at my chips and says "how much you got left".  He couldn't see the 4 bills under my chips, so when I said "about $600" he winced, then for some reason still goes all in.  Snap call, he ends up folding his cards after the river and storming out.  Some guy yells at him "aren't you going to make him show?"  And he whines "uhhhhh he's got two pair".

I haven't played poker regularly at the casino in a few years but it always annoyed me when someone would ask how much i have left. Most people have stacks that make it very easy for other players to estimate. If you can't estimate how much someone has on the table they either hid their bigger chips which you arent supposed to do or theyre just too dumb to count by 5/25. Which i guess the 2nd type is the one who you actually want to play against.

Won $1000 on slots at Caesar's Palace in Atlantic City. Best thing about it was I won it on $30 complementary coin that they gave us. I quit playing about that and spent none of my own money.

Not that this was directed at me, but I always neatly laddered my bills under my chips so everyone could see.

The question is bush league, pure and simple.  Most who play that think they can intimidate you, but reality is they are signaling that they don't have the nuts (and by corollary, potentially, that they can be bought out).  If you're trying to bait the guy into a call, well then maybe OK.

And when you visibly wince like my guy (and it wasn't remotely subtle - VERY noticeable).....the one and only time in poker I got so excited that I screwed up calling instead of going all in.  Total "FISH ON!" moment.  Plus, if I had really been on my game I would have yelled back at him "nahhh, I flopped trips".
