Commute wasn't as bad as I thought. Road was completely covered with slushy ice, it took a bit longer to get home, but no major accidents in the ditches.

posted by HereticI've heard that areas in the NW part of the state are icy. Just rain in north central Ohio so far, but everything school-related at least has been canceled for the day. And I recently hit up our Krogers because I was thinking about frying some wings tonight and needed to buy them. That was a hilarious experience. Apparently half the county is planning to be snowed in for the next couple weeks.
Further update: The rain turned to ice and then snow mid-afternoon (3ish), was a L1 advisory at 5:30 or so and turned to L2 around 11 p.m. to midnight, where it still is. Still snow on the main road I live by and it looks like it'd be a bitch going down the lane to the road right now.

Check that; back to Level 1.
We got about 2 inches of ice and then about 5 inches of snow on top. Good sledding but a pain getting cars out
Yeah, I spoke too soon. I woke up Saturday morning to about 15 inches of snow mumbling "global warming my ass."
We've had more snow this Monday AM than what we ended up getting for WS Hunter. ffs.
yea yea yea.....no ice this AM. I get it.
Either way.....I am getting sick of running on the treadmill......winter can GTFOH

Just be like me and let yourself get fat. You're not getting any faster.
It kept snowing around here and got pretty cold with the wind chill. My wife's school was cancelled again today. No calamity days last year, 5 already this year.
We were only supposed to get an inch of snow yesterday, but I'm guessing we got more like 3. Still not terrible, but I'm looking forward to the heatwave later this week.
The 10-day forecast looks pretty crappy for Cincinnati. Lots of 40 degree days and rain.
Bumping this as I wasn't about to start a new thread. Two hour & twenty minute commute this morning (normally about an hour). Snowing like a mofo.
We were supposed to get a lot more snow than we did, but it was icy enough that I am working from home today. The winter storm warning is in effect until 1pm, so it's likely to get worse as the day rolls along.

I should've worked from home but it wasn't bad when I left. Got much worse as I got closer to work.
North of Dayton.......only about an inch.
Really coming down ..............40 mph tops.......one highway was a real mess.
I moved from Cleveland to Birmingham 2 and a half years ago and I don't miss this stuff one iota.
My only issue with the weather today is getting a sunburn. 80 and sunny in cali!
Feel sorry for u folks
That was short lived. When I woke up it wasn't snowing, by the time I left for work at 5:45 it was coming down hard and by the time I got to work (around 8am) it already quit.
Canceled school as everything was ice at 5:00 am-7:00 am, then rained for 2 hours and got rid of ice, then iced over, then snowed....back to rain. Not far north (30 miles)it’s very icy still and not far south (20 miles) it’s very wet.
In Atlanta on business. 60 and rainy here today.

South of Dayton got it worse. About 4-5 inches.
