Finally watched M. Night Shamalamadingdong's Split.

 

I went in with mixed expectations. I remembered liking Unbreakable, but knew all the recent movies from M. Night have been absolutely horrendous.

 

However, since Bruce Willis' character from Unbreakable is in Glass as well as the character from Split...I didn't want to go watch Glass before seeing Split.

 

So, I went in thinking it could be terrible or amazing, overall it wasn't bad at all.

I would say a solid 7/10. 

James McAvoy's acting was amazing, being able to basically play all the different personalities/roles very well. If anything, the only drawback on the movie was that it took too long to develop the pseudo-science (won't spoil) and come out with the final "character/personality".

 

Definitely makes me look forward to going to see Glass, will probably wait until its out in the cheap theatres now since it is only a couple weeks from that.

I was sadly mistaken. Glass was a 4/10. Not as bad as some of M. Night Shamalamadingdong’s recent movies but actually boring. 

 

McAvoy was the only bright spot in the movie his acting was on point again.

Took my daughter to see Upside tonight.  I will unapologetically say 10/10.  Absolutely loved this movie.

Saw Alita Battle Angel. 

 

Special FX in 3D maybe the best 3D movie since Avatar, SFX 9/10

Storyline-4/10

 

If you plan on seeing this movie at all watch in 3D. I swear in one scene it was raining in the theater. If you don’t care that much don’t watch it. Story not that great.

Finally saw Glass. Didn’t think it was terrible, but it was not well thought out. It’s as if M. Night is trying to form his own “comic” universe.

Those parents are awful. I don’t get how you let stuff go so far. I also don’t want to judge Jan, because that was one fucked up childhood and she was drugged...a lot. But by 16, how do you still believe the Aliens are out to get you?

Zodiac: 7/10. A great start and middle that kind of falls flat at the end. Hell of a cast. 

Molly's Game: 8/10. Great story and has that typical Sorkin feel.

I watched a star is born. I thought gaga did a pretty decent job acting. I may be the only person who wasn't blown away by Bradley Cooper's singing. (It wasn't awful but not amazing like I'd heard)  I knew the ending but thought it was kind of meh. 7/10

The upside. It was funny but I thought the ending was rushed. It was also barely disguised commie propaganda. Also 7/10
