I looked in the first 3 pages and didn't see a Video Game thread.  Anything past the 3rd page has to be like 2 years old...

With the release of THPS 1+2, it was only a matter of time before I got with the current times and picked up a PS4.  So I bought a PS4 in February, and bought THPS 1+2, as well as MK11 Ultimate.  Just picked up MLB The Show 2021, and GameStop had NBA 2K17 for $.99, so I bought it too.  Those are the only games I own.  MLB The Show is fun.  MK11 is the bomb.  THPS 1+2 is awesome for college nostalgia. 

The Show will be fantastic once they get their server issues under control.

I'm still a n00b, so I don't do anything online.  I won't pay for it unless I know I'll use it.  

I play madden, call of duty and 2k21 PGA, and FFantasy on PS4,  On the switch I have Mario Party, Mario Olympics, Mario kart, Mario Tennis and Zelda.

I've only played HR derby and exhibition so far.  Will have to check out the other modes.

I’m thinking of selling my Xbox One X and Switch since I haven’t played them in over 8 months. 

I have been playing the hell out of my raspberry pi with all of the NES and SNES games on it. I set it up on a small TV above our treadmill so I’ve been walking a ton while I play.

I just bought NBA 2k21.

Wow, it sucks. Shoulda went with EA.

MLB the Show definitely growing on me.  Doing the march for October, or whatever it's called.  So far I'm undefeated with the Reds (beginner mode).  My gripe is that you hit WAY too many pop-ups.

Just bought new Resident Evil game. Looking forward to it.

I started playing Double Dragon a few days ago. I don’t know that I ever played it as a kid. Fun game. 

Playing Shadows of Mordor now. I think it's the first LotR stuff I've gotten into since I read the books a couple decades ago. Took a little while to get into it, like it does with anything where stealth is necessary, but now I just have fun running around and assassinating Orcs. Sometimes, I even advance the plot or something!

Also enduring Dragon Age II. I liked Dragon Age Origins and heard really good things about Dragon Age Inquisition, but knew this one would be a bit of a slog. Bioware dumbed down the combat system to an insane degree, so fights went from pretty strategic to "run up and whack shit with your sword".

For that price? Easily. I got mine at Meijer around Thanksgiving as part of some Black Friday "buy 1 for $19, get one free" deal, so I paid the same. Took a little while to get into it, but that happens to me with about any game where stealth is a mechanic. Takes a while to build up my character a bit and get comfortable with any mechanic that doesn't revolve around running up to stuff and stabbing/shooting it. But now, it's just addicting to utterly terrorize Orcs and stuff. The Nemesis/Captains deal is awesome. Some Orcs are Captains and can get more powerful throughout the game, so you can wind up having a rivalry with them. There was one I tried to kill about 5 times before he went down. And even then, you don't know if you've truly won because Sauron can bring them back to life unless (I think) you trigger a decapitation kill.

Don't know that I was overly into it for the first couple hours, but after I learned its system, it's become low-key addictive. Wouldn't say I like it as much as I did the vaguely similar Horizon Zero Dawn, but it's still really fun.

Have a PS5. Been playing Returnal lately. Very fun even though I’m pretty bad at it so far. 

I won the 2021 World Series in "The Show" with the Reds (beginner).  Swept Braves, Beat Dodgers 4-1 in NLCS, and swept Yanks in the World Series.  Just started "Road to the Show," and I'm with Chattanooga Lookouts.  First basemen... I'll replace Joey Votto.
