The Russia/Ukraine situation

Except it always seems like it is the time for our war.  What the Russians, or Vietnamese, or Iraqis, or whoever else does is sometimes barbaric.  But we don’t need to put ourselves front and center like we always do.

Like I said there is a time for war and a time for peace.  Look you know the recent history of Europe.  We are in a military alliance with many nations that border Ukraine as well as Russia.  An agreement was signed with Russia, US, UK, in the 90's that Ukraine would give up its nuclear weapons to Russia with a guarantee its borders would be respected.  A time for peace.  That agreement was violated with the "subtle" Russian invasion of the Donbass and Crimea.  Condemned under the strongest possible terms of course.  Then eventually open full invasion.  A time for war.

Governments blunder into unnecessary and immoral wars as we have. One can separate the sheeps from the goats.

Maybe my last post was a little rude.  I understand what you are saying.  War sucks and is not going to be stopped forever by human government.  Look at the joke the UN is.  I know of the military industrial complex.  The man that coined that phrase was a great general that fought against an evil force in that part of the world.  No doubt as in all wars vultures are profiting from it.  I know this that total isolationism does not work.  The Ukrainians are not asking for anyone's blood.  Just weapons to drive out an invading evil force.  Our own independence was aided by direct foreign military involvement not just weapons.  We live in a very corrupt world.  In this latest episode of world depravity I have made my judgment and you have made yours.  History will be the final judge.  I'll leave it at that.

Sure would be nice if some level of isolationism was in practice. Maybe confine ourselves to only send over comparable amounts of money as other countries are. We don't always have to strut around as Mr. CashyPants.

Biden: "I can declassify it just by thinking about it"

Reporter: "When did you think about declassifying it?"

Biden: "Declassify what?"  Viva la France

Like when you give them to one corrupt regime fighting another corrupt regime in a war the people there have been fighting in some form for centuries?

They are that. They, however, are not equals in that regard.

Look I get it and would agree in most cases.  Other nations are ponying up.  Its not just us.  Britain and France for instance are providing long range missiles that at this point our nation has rejected though likely will provide.  Eastern European nations even the Germans and nordic countries now all get it.  The great evil was revealed when the northern suburbs of Kiev were liberated.  Just like the past.  Unlike the past the Russians have nukes so Putin is not going to off himself in a bunker in Moscow.  Maybe his end comes when the borders of Ukraine are restored.  I do not know.  What I do know is rinse and repeat.

I'm more concerned about what happens when China takes back Taiwan.

Surprised it hasn't happened already.  Probably waiting to see if Biden gets re-elected.

A much more serious problem as Taiwan controls about half the chip production in the world.

I don’t know why the assumption is that China will take Tawain so easily.

The soundbite from Pence yesterday in his interview with Tucker makes me question whether we shoul dbe in this proxy war with Russia.

Pence seemed way to excited about spending Billions in Ukraine and his comment about the crumbling of most US cities "thats not my concern", should scare the fuck out of everyone.

What proxy war?  There is absolutely no footage of it.

How?  China is projected to have the largest navy in the world by 2027, possibly more advanced than the US.  The US would have to rely on a decisive edge from it's subs.

Taiwan has no chance of fighting against China without assistance.  And unlike Russia/Ukraine, China is fully capable of blockading Taiwan from receiving that outside support.

Look at Iwo Jima and Okinawa.  We suffered mass nearly intolerable casualties with both naval and air superiority.  Its why we chose to nuke Japan.  Taiwan is not only an island it is mountainous.  Its not an easy take on its own.  Let alone with foreign intvention.

Interesting.  An open photo op at the Russian/Africa summit.  He obviously holds some power.  I wonder what deal was struck with this shitbag?

China is still far off from becoming a blue water navy, and after that they will need quite a few decades of playing an away game to figure it out. On top of that, their weapons systems do not touch the US. A lot of people need to pump the brakes on the Chinese military hype.

Because it fits the narrative the left went ape shit over Tucker Carlson's interview with Putin.  I saw a few hot takes but took them with a grain of salt.  So I subjected myself to the full 2hr interview.  Very enlightening.  My take.

Putin must be opposed by force. The EU must be at the front of this with the full backing of the USA.

When it comes to regaining lands lost in European wars in the past Putin is your 21st century Hitler. Putin goes back centuries.

Putin loathes Poland like Stalin and their fathers before them.

Putin is feasting on the left's propaganda and the ignorance of some on the right.

Denazification - When any politician sites anything similar without proper justification beware.

With all the speculation about Putin's health I would like to see Biden put that issue to bed as well with a two hour interview.

Carlson did press for a good will gesture to return the imprisoned WSJ journalist but was told his interview was not good enough.

We need Hillary and her reset button.

Their army is not what they are hyped up to be either.  Their greatest strength is what it was over the last century.  Forced human wave attacks in overwhelming numbers.  The Russians are the same.  They have proven on the battlefield they are only capable of fighting a WWI style war.  Where is the Russian air force?  The vaunted Black Sea Fleet has been crippled by a nation with no major surface ships.  Dudes on laptops controlling armed jet skis sunk a Russian Corvette patrolling inside a bay on the Crimean peninsula.

There is now over a million military casualties in this war.  Civilians will be approaching a 100k nearly all Ukrainians.  The west convinced them to give up the nukes for peace.  Now a great war is at their door step.

A great dictator has arisen in Europe.  Bent on waging war to achieve his goals.  Openly leveling cities with indiscriminate weapons.  Using banned chemical weapons to dislodge entrenched soldiers on the front.

But on campus they are lathered up about the Jewish problem.  Like one in the past he may have an opening here.
